Holis personitas de Hive, un gusto estar por aquí, Soy Ari Wang o solo Ari jeje, tengo 21 años y soy de Venezuela, aunque nací en Barquisimeto - Lara, he vivido en otros Estados, como Valencia, Caracas (Donde técnicamente crecí) y incluso Trujillo (aunque fue corta la estadía), por lo cual me he tenido que mudar en varias ocasiones y cambiado de escuela, dos preescolares, tres primarias y tres liceos, nunca se me ha dificultado hacer amigos, pero debido a tantos cambios terminaba perdiendo el contacto con cualquier amigo que tuviera, al punto en que mi única amistad era mi hermana (Que la adoro un mundo). Llegue a estudiar Derecho en la Universidad Santa María, pero por la mudanza a otro estado tuve que parar los estudios, lo que me ayudó a descubrir que no era lo que quería.
Desde los 15 años me comenzó a interesar el mundo del maquillaje, aunque al inicio solo era buscar tutoriales de cómo maquillar correctamente las cejas y colocar el corrector, pasé a realizar tutoriales de maquillaje, maquillar a otras personas y ahora incluso realizo cosplays de personajes anime o de televisión, aunque me gusta más el maquillaje de efectos especiales jejee. También descubrí mi amor por la escritura, desde pequeña me ha gustado leer, y en mi pre adolescencia leí la mayor cantidad de novelas juveniles románticas, lo que me hizo interesarme por la escritura y me atreví a escribir mi primera novela, aunque ahora me avergüenzo de ella. A mis 21 años de edad he escrito de principio a fin solo 2 historias de la cual solo tengo pública una, y tengo 4 historias incompletas que no se si alguna vez también las vaya a terminar jejeje, pero si estoy segura que me encanta escribir, es mi escape del mundo real a los mundos que creo en mi cabeza y los plasmo en mi laptop, espero algún día puedan llegar a muchas personas y los hagan felices como me hacen a mi.
Me gusta mucho aprender idiomas, recuerdo cuando entré al bachillerato y comencé a ver inglés, no tardo mucho en volverse mi materia favorita, la disfruté en mis 5 años de bachillerato, incluso ayudaba a mi hermana y algunos primos con sus tareas de inglés, porque soy muy buena con la gramática en inglés, recuerdo una vez en pandemia ayudé a una prima mayor con un examen de inglés, el cual terminé en 4 minutos con la nota más alta 🤩. Una de mis metas para el 2025 es cursar varios cursos de inglés para seguir mejorando y aprendiendo (más que nada la pronunciación). También podría decir que se varias cosas básicas del japonés, como a los 13 años me comenzó a gustar mucho el anime, me había propuesto aprender japonés, espero algún día continuar aprendiendo el idioma.
Tengo varios pasatiempos favoritos, entre ellos el escuchar música, mi género favorito es el kpop, pero puedo escuchar todo tipo de música, kpop, Vicente Fernández , reguetón, Maneskin, pop, rock, bachata , baladas y mi favorita el cover de Bikina de Luis Miguel, pero mi favorito siempre será el kpop.
Lo escucho desde mis 14 años, lo conocí por BTS pero meses después mi grupo favorito se volvió GOT7 (y aún son mis favoritos) al igual que SEVENTEEN, aunque disfruto de todos los grupos y solistas, podría escuchar kpop todo el día y nunca aburrirme, pero mi Safe Place siempre será SEVENTEEN, desde el diciembre de 2019 que decidí stanearlos hasta ahora disfruto mucho el trabajo de ellos, es el resultado de un grupo auto producido, al igual que me fascinan sus reality, todos los miércoles espero con ansias el nuevo capítulo de Going Seventeen. También disfruto de coleccionar álbumes de Kpop aunque todavía mi colección es pequeña, en el futuro espero en esta comunidad poderles dar mis reseñas sobre nuevos álbumes y obvio unboxing sobre ellos.
El ver anime también está entre mis pasatiempos desde los trece años que lo hago y nunca me a aburrido, aún recuerdo cuando salía ansiosa del liceo para llegar a mi casa a seguir viendo anime. Mi favorito por siempre será Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) más adelante les hablaré de porque la siento una obra maestra de inicio a fin.
Algo que también disfruto desde muy pequeña son los videojuegos, recuerdo que era muy pequeña cuando me encantaba jugar play con mis primos, había un juego de pelea de Dragón Ball que nos gustaba mucho, o aquella navidad que me regalaron mi primer DS, pasaba días enteros jugando, luego a mi hermana y a mi nos regalaron un wii y jugábamos junto a nuestro primos, gastábamos cajas enteras de pilas en un día por tanto jugar.
Desde hace dos años tengo una fiebre por Genshin Impact y Honkai Star Rail.

Como lo había mencionado arriba me gusta leer, pero no solo novelas románticas, me encantan leer historias de terror, soy toda una fanática del terror, como también de leer mangas o manhwa, pero también soy toda una romántica y mi fascinación es todo lo que tenga romance, una de mis escritoras favoritas es Alice Kellen, siento que sus libros en medio del romance dejan fuertes mensajes de superación, tengo varias ideas de reseñas sobre libros para mostrarles.
Otros de mis pasatiempos favoritos es cocinar, este año le tome mucho cariño a cocinar, descubrir recetas experimentar y arriesgarse, disfruto muchos mis ratos en las cocinas y estoy emocionada de compartir mis recetas con ustedes, quiero compartir todas las recetas saludables y nada aburridas con las que he experimentado este año. Desde muy pequeña fui criticada por mi peso, lo que llevaba a hacer dietas nada sanas y incluso desarrollar un problema alimenticio, creo que pasé la mayor parte de mi adolescencia odiando mi cuerpo y comparándome con las demás chicas de mi edad y haciéndome la típica pregunta “¿por qué no puedo ser tan delgada como ellas?” Ahora veo mis fotos de ese entonces y pienso lo linda que era, y me da tristeza que no me supe valorar en ese entonces, solo me daba autocríticas, fueron luchas mentales constantes conmigo misma hasta entender que dejando de comer no iba a lograr nada, porque tarde o temprano llegaban los atracones, o haciendo ejercicio hasta el punto de marearme tampoco me iba a ayudar, después de tanto logré encontrar la respuesta, mejorar mi alimentación, cambiar algunas cosas, solo por comidas más sanas, sin necesidad de dejar de comer, y dándome algunos gustos de vez en cuando. Es difícil pero seguimos trabajando en ello para mejorar.

Hello, little people of Hive, a pleasure to be here. I’m Ari Wang, or just Ari, hehe. I’m 21 years old and from Venezuela. Although I was born in Barquisimeto - Lara, I’ve lived in other states, like Valencia, Caracas (where I technically grew up), and even Trujillo (though my stay there was short). Because of this, I’ve had to move several times and change schools—two preschools, three elementary schools, and three high schools. I’ve never had difficulty making friends, but due to so many changes, I ended up losing contact with any friend I had, to the point that my only friend was my sister (whom I adore so much). I started studying Law at the Universidad Santa María, but due to a move to another state, I had to pause my studies, which helped me realize that it wasn’t what I wanted.
Since I was 15, I became interested in the world of makeup. At first, I only searched for tutorials on how to correctly do my eyebrows and apply concealer, but then I started creating makeup tutorials, doing makeup on others, and now I even do cosplay of anime or TV characters, though I prefer special effects makeup, hehe. I also discovered my love for writing. Since I was young, I loved reading, and in my pre-adolescence, I read the most romantic young adult novels, which led me to be interested in writing, and I dared to write my first novel, though now I’m embarrassed by it. At 21, I’ve written two complete stories, and I’ve published one of them, while I have four incomplete stories that I don’t know if I’ll ever finish, hehe. But I’m sure I love writing; it’s my escape from the real world to the worlds I create in my head and put on my laptop. I hope one day my stories can reach many people and make them as happy as they make me.
I really enjoy learning languages. I remember when I entered high school and started learning English, it didn’t take long to become my favorite subject. I enjoyed it for the five years of high school and even helped my sister and some cousins with their English homework because I’m really good at grammar. I remember once during the pandemic, I helped an older cousin with an English exam, which I finished in 4 minutes with the highest grade 🤩. One of my goals for 2025 is to take several English courses to keep improving and learning (especially pronunciation). I can also say I know some basic Japanese. When I was 13, I became very interested in anime, and I planned to learn Japanese. I hope one day I can continue learning the language.
I have several favorite hobbies, including listening to music. My favorite genre is K-pop, but I can listen to all kinds of music: K-pop, Vicente Fernández, reggaeton, Maneskin, pop, rock, bachata, ballads, and my favorite, the cover of "Bikina" by Luis Miguel. But my favorite will always be K-pop. I’ve been listening to it since I was 14. I discovered it through BTS, but months later, my favorite group became GOT7 (and they still are), along with SEVENTEEN. Though I enjoy all groups and solo artists, I could listen to K-pop all day and never get bored. But my Safe Place will always be SEVENTEEN. Since December 2019, when I decided to stan them, I’ve enjoyed their work so much. It’s the result of a self-produced group, and I also love their reality show. Every Wednesday, I eagerly wait for the new episode of Going Seventeen. I also enjoy collecting K-pop albums, though my collection is still small. In the future, I hope to share my reviews of new albums and, of course, unboxing them.
Watching anime has also been one of my hobbies since I was 13, and I’ve never gotten bored of it. I still remember how I would eagerly leave school to go home and keep watching anime. My forever favorite is Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), and I’ll talk more later about why I consider it a masterpiece from start to finish. Something else I’ve enjoyed since I was very young is playing video games. I remember when I was little, I loved playing PlayStation with my cousins. There was a Dragon Ball fighting game we liked a lot, or that Christmas when I got my first DS, I would spend whole days playing. Later, my sister and I got a Wii, and we would play with our cousins, spending entire boxes of batteries in one day just from playing. For the past two years, I’ve been obsessed with Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. I play until I finish the update, no matter the time.
As I mentioned earlier, I enjoy reading, but not just romantic novels. I love reading horror stories, and I’m a big fan of the genre. I also love reading manga or manhwa, but I’m a total romantic at heart, and my fascination is everything that has romance in it. One of my favorite authors is Alice Kellen. I feel that her books, amid the romance, convey strong messages of personal growth. I have several book review ideas that I can’t wait to share with you.
One of my favorite hobbies is cooking. This year, I’ve developed a deep love for it—discovering recipes, experimenting, and taking risks. I truly enjoy my time in the kitchen and am excited to share my recipes with you. I want to share all the healthy and never boring recipes I’ve experimented with this year. Since I was very young, I was criticized for my weight, which led me to follow unhealthy diets and even develop an eating disorder. I think I spent most of my teenage years hating my body, comparing myself to other girls my age, and asking myself the typical question: “Why can’t I be as thin as they are?” Now, when I look at photos of myself from back then, I think about how beautiful I was, and it saddens me that I didn’t value myself at the time. All I did was criticize myself. I constantly battled with my mind until I understood that starving myself wouldn’t accomplish anything because sooner or later, binge eating would follow. Overexercising to the point of dizziness wasn’t the solution either. After so much struggle, I finally found the answer: improving my diet and making small changes, simply opting for healthier foods without depriving myself of eating and allowing myself occasional treats. It’s difficult, but I’m still working on it to keep improving.
