Hola amigos de Hive, me llamo Carlenis Lisette, mi nombre es una combinación de ambos nombres de mi padre, Carlos Argenis. Nací en Barquisimeto, Estado Lara, Venezuela, un 23 de Noviembre de 1991; aunque nací en esa ciudad nunca viví allí, inmediatamente después de mi nacimiento nos fuimos al poblado de Nirgua, en el Estado Yaracuy, allí vivía mi familia materna y viví en ese hermoso pueblo hasta mis 6 años de edad, tengo muy buenos y bonitos recuerdos de mi infancia temprana en el pueblo.
Luego nos mudamos a la ciudad de Maturín, Estado Monagas, al oriente del país. Estábamos a más de 12 horas por tierra del pueblo que me había visto crecer hasta entonces, Nirgua. Apenas era una niña pequeña y eso hizo que adaptarme a ese nuevo entorno de cambiar de ciudad fuera más sencillo. Al poco tiempo de vivir en Maturín nació mi hermana, Carleisis. Fue un momento soñado, yo tenía para ese entonces 9 años y tener una hermana era lo que más anhelaba y llegó esta pequeña para hacer de nuestra casa un lugar más lindo y aún más lleno de amor.
Fui creciendo y me acostumbré realmente bien a vivir en Maturín, la escuela y el bachillerato fueron épocas espectaculares llenas de amistad y complicidad. Hice muchos buenos amigos, siempre he sido muy sociable, amistosa y amable, por lo que se hacía sencillo conocer personas.
Así fue pasando el tiempo y logré culminar mis estudios de bachillerato, era el momento de ir a la universidad. Una gran incertidumbre pasaba por mi mente, no sabía que estudiar, me gustaban varias carreras, al final termine optando por estudiar odontología, una decisión muy acertada.
Pero ocurría un problema en mi ciudad no había ninguna universidad que diera la carrera de odontología. Así que tuve que decidir e irme a otra ciudad. Otra mudanza, otra adaptación, nuevos comienzos, estos y otros pensamientos rondaban mi cabeza, pero tomé mis maletas y partimos rumbo a Barcelona, Estado Anzoátegui. La ciudad de Barcelona queda a unas dos horas de Maturín, así que no estaba tan lejos de casa.
A mis 17 años comencé este nuevo camino, vivir sola, estudiar, esforzarme por mis sueños. En este tiempo, que disfrute al máximo, conocí personas realmente excepcionales. No diré que estudiar se me hizo fácil, la odontología es una carrera que exige bastante, así que trate de dar lo mejor de mí, me costó, y luego de muchas caídas y tropiezos logré titularme como Odontólogo, mi gran sueño se hacía realidad.
En el tiempo en el que estaba estudiando en la universidad conocí a Tomás, un muchacho que desde que lo conocí no ha parado de enamorarme cada día, como toda pareja hemos tenido nuestros altos y bajos pero con sabiduría y madurez hemos sabido afrontar los problemas y hoy ya casi tenemos diez años de relación, miro atrás y digo ¡que rápido ha pasado el tiempo! Pero han sido años de crecimiento tanto personal como en pareja.
Para continuar con esta historia de mi vida les contaré un punto importante. En el año 2017 Venezuela atravesaba la peor crisis de su historia, desde el 2015 los alimentos comenzaron a escasear, el sueldo no alcanzaba, habían problemas eléctricos, problemas con el agua, en fin estábamos sumidos en un caos terrible y explotó una revuelta social en todo el país. Fueron días y meses de mucha tensión, muchos muertos y heridos en las calles, solo por protestar y exigir sus derechos, era algo que me abrumaba. No podía seguir viviendo acá, estaba en una constante frustración y fue así como me sumé a ese gran número de venezolanos que dejaron nuestra tierra en busca de un futuro mejor en otro país. Me fui a Colombia.
Tomás, mi novio tenía casi un año de haberse ido a la hermana República de Colombia, así que por esa parte fue sencillo, tener a alguien que me recibiera en un país donde no conocía nada ni a nadie fue un alivio.
Llegué a Bogotá, una ciudad mágica, totalmente diferente a lo que estaba acostumbrada, un clima frío todo el tiempo, lluvia, neblina, etc. Una ciudad con diferente cultura que la mía pero que debía adaptarme porque en adelante sería mi ciudad, mi lugar para vivir. No fue fácil comenzar en una ciudad y un país nuevo, pero con la esperanza puesta en alto, la motivación y el positivismo logré acostumbrarme a vivir allí.
Al salir de Venezuela tan apresuradamente no pude arreglar mis papeles para poder ejercer mi carrera en Colombia así que me tocó trabajar de lo que saliera y fue como terminé trabajando en un sex shop, no era lo que tenía en mi proyecto de vida pero tocó ser la vendedora de juguetes sexuales de una tienda de Bogotá, eso al menos, junto al trabajo de Tomás, nos mantenía viviendo bien.
El tiempo pasó y ya tenía 3 años viviendo en Colombia junto a Tomás, un día mientras caminábamos por un parque vinos a un muchacho que estaba dando en adopción a unos perros y fue cuando decidimos adoptar uno. Eran todos perritos mestizos, bastante feos por cierto, pero vamos, que todos los cachorros son lindos y entonces terminamos adoptando a África, una mestiza realmente linda, noble, atenta e inteligente. Tenerla con nosotros ha sido maravilloso y cada día nos regala risas y uno que otro disgusto, pero así son los perritos, igual la amamos con todo nuestro corazón.
Y llegó el 2020, el virus del COVID-19 azotó al mundo entero, obviamente Colombia no fue la excepción. Entramos en cuarentena, no pudimos trabajar más, la situación se puso complicada y fue cuando tomamos la decisión de regresar a Venezuela, no sabíamos que nos esperaba, habíamos dejado un país bastante destrozado, claro que en esos cuatro años que estuvimos fuera hablábamos con nuestros familiares y nos decían que estaban bien, obviamente no nos iban a contar las partes malas de la historia para no agobiarnos, porque estábamos tan lejos y llenarnos de problemas ajenos no era opción.
Pero regresamos, dejamos en Colombia amigos buenos que nos recibieron como parte de su familia. Venezuela ha cambiado, aún persisten muchos de los problemas que habían cuando decidimos emigrar, pero al menos ya la comida no escasea, hay buenas opciones de trabajo y ahí vamos echándole ganas a la vida para construir lo que queremos.
Actualmente vivo en Lechería, una hermosa cuidad a orillas del Mar Caribe y no puedo quejarme, tengo la compañía de un hombre que me ama, Tomás, una de las mejores decisiones de mi vida y nuestra compañera África, la consentida de la casa.
Seguimos trabajando, luchando y andando, pero sobre todo seguimos amando, es que es el amor lo que nos impulsa y nos mueve para conseguir lo que anhelamos. Aún sigo escribiendo mi historia y es como ir en una montaña rusa, con picos y bajadas pero no nos detenemos.

Hello friends of Hive, my name is Carlenis Lisette, my name is a combination of both names of my father, Carlos Argenis. I was born in Barquisimeto, Lara State, Venezuela, on November 23, 1991; although I was born in that city I never lived there, immediately after my birth we went to the town of Nirgua, in Yaracuy State, my mother's family lived there and I lived in that beautiful town until I was 6 years old, I have very good and beautiful memories of my early childhood in the town.
Then we moved to the city of Maturin, Monagas State, in the eastern part of the country. We were more than 12 hours away by land from the town that had seen me grow up until then, Nirgua. I was just a little girl and that made it easier for me to adapt to the new environment of changing cities. Shortly after living in Maturin, my sister, Carleisis, was born. It was a dream moment, I was 9 years old at the time and having a sister was what I longed for the most and this little girl arrived to make our home a nicer place and even more full of love.
I grew up and got used to living in Maturin really well, school and high school were spectacular times full of friendship and complicity. I made many good friends, I have always been very sociable, friendly and kind, so it was easy to meet people.
Time went by and I managed to finish my high school studies, it was time to go to college. A great uncertainty was going through my mind, I did not know what to study, I liked several careers, in the end I ended up choosing to study dentistry, a very wise decision.
But there was a problem in my city, there was no university in my city that offered a career in dentistry. So I had to decide and go to another city. Another move, another adaptation, new beginnings, these and other thoughts were in my head, but I took my bags and left for Barcelona, Anzoátegui State. The city of Barcelona is about two hours away from Maturin, so I was not so far from home.
At the age of 17 I started this new path, living alone, studying, striving for my dreams. During this time, which I enjoyed to the fullest, I met some truly exceptional people. I will not say that studying was easy, dentistry is a career that demands a lot, so I tried to do my best, it cost me, and after many falls and stumbles I managed to graduate as a dentist, my big dream came true.
During the time I was studying at the university I met Tomás, a boy that since I met him I have not stopped falling in love every day, like any couple we have had our ups and downs but with wisdom and maturity we have been able to face the problems and today we have almost ten years of relationship, I look back and say how fast time has passed! But they have been years of growth both personally and as a couple.
To continue with this story of my life I will tell you an important point. In the year 2017 Venezuela was going through the worst crisis in its history, since 2015 food began to be scarce, the salary was not enough, there were electrical problems, problems with water, in short we were plunged into a terrible chaos and a social revolt exploded throughout the country. There were days and months of great tension, many dead and wounded in the streets, just for protesting and demanding their rights, it was something that overwhelmed me. I could not continue living here, I was in constant frustration and that is how I joined the large number of Venezuelans who left our land in search of a better future in another country. I went to Colombia.
Tomas, my boyfriend had almost a year to go to the sister Republic of Colombia, so on that side it was easy, having someone to welcome me in a country where I knew nothing and no one was a relief.
I arrived in Bogota, a magical city, totally different from what I was used to, cold weather all the time, rain, fog, etc. A city with a different culture than mine but I had to adapt because from now on it would be my city, my place to live. It was not easy to start in a new city and a new country, but with hope, motivation and positivism I managed to get used to living there.
When I left Venezuela in such a hurry I could not arrange my papers to be able to practice my career in Colombia so I had to work in whatever I could find and that is how I ended up working in a sex shop, it was not what I had in my life project but I had to be the sex toys saleswoman in a store in Bogota, that at least, together with Tomás' job, kept us living well.
Time passed and I already had 3 years living in Colombia with Tomas, one day while we were walking through a park we saw a boy who was giving some dogs for adoption and that's when we decided to adopt one. They were all mongrel dogs, quite ugly by the way, but come on, all puppies are cute and so we ended up adopting Africa, a really cute, noble, attentive and intelligent mongrel. Having her with us has been wonderful and every day she gives us laughter and one or the other displeasure, but that's how puppies are, we still love her with all our heart.
And then came 2020, the COVID-19 virus hit the whole world, obviously Colombia was no exception. We went into quarantine, we could not work anymore, the situation became complicated and that was when we made the decision to return to Venezuela, we did not know what awaited us, we had left a country quite destroyed, of course in those four years we were away we talked to our relatives and they told us they were fine, obviously they would not tell us the bad parts of the story to not overwhelm us, because we were so far away and fill us with other people's problems was not an option.
But we returned, we left good friends in Colombia who welcomed us as part of their family. Venezuela has changed, many of the problems that existed when we decided to emigrate still persist, but at least food is not scarce, there are good job options and we are still trying to build what we want.
Currently I live in Lecheria, a beautiful city on the shores of the Caribbean Sea and I can not complain, I have the company of a man who loves me, Tomas, one of the best decisions of my life and our partner Africa, the spoiled of the house.
We continue working, fighting and walking, but above all we continue loving, it is love that drives us and moves us to achieve what we long for. I am still writing my story and it is like going on a roller coaster, with peaks and troughs but we do not stop.
