Hola a todos. Lo primero buenos días, tardes, noches. Soy nuevo aquí. Hace unos meses me hablaron de Ecency y me creé un perfil pero nunca publiqué nada. Eso fue hasta que conocí a @nony y me explicó bien todos los beneficios de pertenecer a esta gran plataforma. Por ahora todo esto me parece maravilloso y, aunque he estado informándome acerca de las comunidades a las que más me interesan pertenecer me siento como un bebé, pero estoy seguro que iré aprendiendo a medida que avance.

Hello everyone. First good morning, afternoon, evening. I am new here. A few months ago I was told about Ecency and I created a profile but I never posted anything. That was until I met @nony and he explained to me all the benefits of belonging to this great platform. For now all this seems wonderful to me and, although I have been informing myself about the communities that I am most interested in belonging to, I feel like a baby, but I am sure that I will learn as I go along.

Bueno, mi nombre es Ernesto Manuel Peña Torobo, pero pueden llamarme Ernesto. Tengo 25 años y soy un cubano nacido y criado en La Habana. Soy graduado de la UCI como Ingeniero en Ciencias Informáticas, y actualmente trabajo en el Instituto de Geología y Paleontología, donde ayudo a llevar tanto la parte técnica como las redes y seguridad de la información. Vivo con una hermosa familia que consta de: madre, padre, abuela, abuelo, hermano, cuñada, mi esposa y yo.

Well, my name is Ernesto Manuel Peña Torobo, but you can call me Ernesto. I am 25 years old and I am a Cuban born and raised in Havana. I graduated from UCI as a Computer Science Engineer, and I currently work at the Institute of Geology and Paleontology, where I help manage both the technical part and the networks and information security. I live with a beautiful family consisting of: mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister-in-law, my wife and myself.

A todo el mundo le gusta una historia de fondo, ¿verdad?

Entonces, nací en 1996 en San Miguel del Padrón. De niño amaba dibujar, jugar todo tipo de juegos de Pc y consola, y el ajedrez, que fue mi pasión durante muchos años. Ya se podrán imaginar que no era mucho un niño de la calle, y aunque me gustaba jugar con mis amigos a las bolas y a los escondidos, prefería quedarme en casa haciendo lo que de verdad me apasionaba.

En mi adolescencia, desarrollé una gran pasión por el anime y la magia, cosas que a día de hoy me siguen encantando y creo que siempre lo harán. Pero no todo es color de rosas, también tuve momentos malos y tristes, y ahí es donde entró mi primer gran amor, la música.

Everyone loves a backstory, right?

So, I was born in 1996 in San Miguel del Padrón. As a child I loved drawing, playing all kinds of PC and console games, and chess, which was my passion for many years. You can imagine that I wasn't much of a street kid, and although I liked to play tag and hide-and-seek with my friends, I preferred to stay at home doing what I really loved.

In my teens, I developed a great passion for anime and magic, things that I still love to this day and I think always will. But not everything is rosy, I also had bad and sad moments, and that's where my first great love came in, music.

Mi segundo gran amor lo encuentro justo antes de entrar a la universidad, y fue la fotografía. Mi madre siempre tuvo como hobby fotografiar todo lo que le parecía bonito, y para eso tenía una buena cámara, la cual me sirvió para trabajar durante unos meses como asistente de un fotógrafo. Ahí conocí a muchas personas espectaculares que me enseñaron bastante de este arte y me hicieron amarlo aún más.

I found my second great love just before entering university, and it was photography. My mother always had a hobby of photographing everything that seemed beautiful to her, and for that she had a good camera, which helped me to work for a few months as a photographer's assistant. There I met many spectacular people who taught me a lot about this art and made me love it even more.

Como de pequeño era muy fan a la tecnología decidí estudiar ingeniería informática en la universidad, donde desde que empecé hasta mi graduación tuve una muy buena experiencia.

Since I was a big fan of technology when I was little, I decided to study computer engineering at university, where I had a very good experience from the beginning until I graduated.

Al mismo tiempo que estudiaba tuve dos trabajos, de mensajero y de técnico de software en un taller de celulares. Esto me sirvió para aprender a ser más independiente y salir de debajo de la falda de mamá, como se dice en el argot popular.

At the same time that I was studying, I had two jobs, as a messenger and as a software technician in a cell phone workshop. This helped me learn to be more independent and get out from under mom's skirt, as they say in popular slang.

Hoy por hoy trabajo donde les dije al inicio, y en mis ratos libres trato de pasar tiempo de calidad con mi familia y amigos. Los fines de semana siempre trato de salir a visitar algún sitio que no haya visto y me he vuelto como mi madre, le tiro fotos a todo lo que me parezca bonito.

Today I work where I told you at the beginning, and in my spare time I try to spend quality time with my family and friends. On weekends I always try to go out and visit some place I haven't seen and I've become like my mother, I take photos of everything that I find beautiful.
