Al norte de Caracas- Venezuela encontramos una pequeña población llamada Galipán, fundada alrededor del año 1780 por pobladores inmigrantes de las Islas Canarias quienes compraron parte de estas tierras y realizaban cultivos de flores, verdura. Actualmente se encuentra dividido en cinco sectores.
To the north of Caracas- Venezuela we find a small town called Galipán, founded around the year 1780 by immigrant settlers from the Canary Islands who bought part of these lands and cultivated flowers and vegetables. It is currently divided into five sectors.
Actualmente Galipán está constituido por 350 familias ocupando tierras que han ido pasando entre familiares de generación a generación, un poblado rural que permite observar el Mar Caribe.
Currently Galipán is made up of 350 families occupying lands that have been passed down between relatives from generation to generation, a rural town that allows one to observe the Caribbean Sea.
Estuvimos este fin visitando familiares en Caracas que como les comenté nos gusta mucho disfrutar momentos únicos en familia, decidimos visitar este poblado, desde Caracas en vehículo rustico toma aproximadamente media hora llegar hasta allá, durante el tiempo de viaje observamos una subida empinada, carretera de pavimento, hermosos árboles, una vista espectacular que nos permite observar el oeste de Caracas.
This weekend we were visiting relatives in Caracas that, as I told you, we really like to enjoy unique moments with the family, we decided to visit this town, from Caracas in a rustic vehicle it takes approximately half an hour to get there, during the travel time we observed a steep climb, a highway pavement, beautiful trees, a spectacular view that allows us to observe the west of Caracas.
Dejamos el carro en el estacionamiento y caminamos hasta “Los venados”, una parada donde podemos comer, tomar algo rico, el clima es maravilloso, ideal para acampar. Más adelante encontramos un sitio donde venden víveres, podemos tomar un rico vino de moras o fresas, alquilar caballos, los niños estaban realmente emocionados.
We leave the car in the parking lot and walk to “Los venados”, a stop where we can eat, drink something delicious, the weather is wonderful, ideal for camping. Later we found a place where they sell food, we can drink a delicious blackberry or strawberry wine, rent horses, the children were really excited.
No puedes ir a Galipán y no comer las ricas y tradicionales fresas con cremas. Esta área tiene una tiene como cualquier otra población una iglesia, escuela plazas y acogedoras posadas por si está en los planes quedarse.
You cannot go to Galipán and not eat the delicious and traditional strawberries with creams. This area has one, like any other population, a church, school, squares and cozy inns in case you are planning to stay.
Nos llegó la hora de almuerzo y degustamos una rica sopa, nos atendió una amable Sra. llamada Marlene, nos ofreció a su vez hospedaje, pero, no estaba en nuestros planes dormir allí esa noche. Ya teníamos planes de viajar a Valencia para visitar un parque acuático. En mi próxima publicación les estaré contando de esta súper experiencia familiar.
It was time for lunch and we tasted a delicious soup, we were attended by a kind lady named Marlene, who offered us lodging, but it was not in our plans to sleep there that night. We already had plans to travel to Valencia to visit a water park. In my next publication I will be telling you about this super family experience.
