Soy Licenciada en Gerencia de Recursos Humanos, egresada de la Universidad de Oriente en el año 2015.
Hello friends, my name is Gabriela Labana Ugas, I am about to turn 29 years old on March 25, I was born in Venezuela, I grew up in a very warm town of friendly and hardworking people called Tunapuy. I have a degree in Human Resources Management, graduated from the Universidad de Oriente in 2015.
Soy la segunda de cuatro hermanos, actualmente nos encontramos en diferentes países, lo cual ha sido muy duro tanto para nuestros padres como para nosotros; todos ellos son una parte muy importante de mi vida y aunque estamos lejos nos mantenemos muy unidos y nos comunicamos a diario, tengo cuatro sobrinos hermosos por quienes siento un amor infinito.
Mis padres, mis amores más grandes, dos personas incondicionales en mi vida; quienes me han dado su apoyo en cada momento y decisión que he tomado; y me han orientado cuando ha sido necesario, son quienes formaron la mujer que soy hoy, agradecida, honesta, emprendedora y con una fe inmensa hacia Dios, ellos tienen 32 años de casados, y son mi ejemplo de fortaleza, de trabajo duro, de honestidad y de amor por la familia. Los recuerdo levantarse a las 5 de la mañana para salir al local a vender empanadas, terminar a las 12 del medio día y volver a casa a preparar todo para estar a las 4 pm de nuevo en el local para vender perros calientes y hamburguesas hasta la media noche . Y aun en este momento continuan trabajando muy duro en Venezuela, cada día. Ellos nunca se han rendido en las adversidades y yo solo deseo retribuirles todo lo que han hecho por mis hermanos y por mi.
I am the second of four siblings, we are currently in different countries, which has been very hard both for our parents and for us; all of them are a very important part of my life and although we are far away we are very close and we communicate daily, I have four beautiful nephews for whom I feel infinite love.
My parents, my greatest loves, two unconditional people in my life; who have given me their support in every moment and decision I have made; and have guided me when necessary, they are the ones who formed the woman I am today, grateful, honest, enterprising and with an immense faith towards God, they have been married for 32 years, and they are my example of strength, hard work, honesty and love for the family. I remember them getting up at 5 am to go out to the store to sell empanadas, finishing at 12 noon and returning home to prepare everything to be back at the store at 4 pm to sell hot dogs and hamburgers until midnight. And even now they are still working very hard in Venezuela, every day. They have never given up in adversity and I just want to repay them for all they have done for my brothers and me.

Soy estilista, y quiero hablarles un poco de cómo llegué a este mundo que nada tiene que ver con la carrera que estudié. Después de graduarme, trabajé un año en una aseguradora llamada La Vitalicia, en el año 2016. Dicha oficina estaba ubicada en Carupano Estado Sucre, Venezuela, era una sucursal pequeña y este año era uno de los más difíciles para nosotros los venezolanos, la crisis empezaba a acentuarse de una manera descomunal, y dicha empresa tuvo que cerrar varias sucursales, entre esas, la nuestra.
Sin trabajo, y totalmente convencida de que no podía estar en un empleo dependiendo de un sueldo mínimo, por la razón de que era y sigue siendo imposible subsistir en Venezuela en tales condiciones, hice a un lado mi carrera y pensé en aprender algún oficio que me ayudara a salir adelante, y de esta manera me animé a hacer cursos de Diseño de cejas y pestañas y de maquillaje, al principio me pareció difícil todo este mundo de la belleza y en algún momento llegué a pensar que esto no era para mí, pero decidí no bajar los brazos, continué practicando y aprendiendo, cometí muchos errores ensayando con mis primas y hermana ( y vaya que fueron muchos jajaja) hasta que me sentí capaz de atender clientas y garantizarles un buen trabajo. Actualmente este es el oficio que desempeño, me encanta dedicarle todo el amor al trabajo que les brindo a cada una de mis clientas, disfruto muchísimo hacer lo que hago, soy perfeccionista y me gusta aprender, cada que puedo miro tutoriales, hago cursos, consulto a mis colegas, y soy muy feliz al ver la cara de satisfacción de mis clientas al mirar los resultados. Sin duda seguiré preparándome en esta carrera tan bonita porque a esto me dedicaré el resto de mi vida.
I am a stylist, and I want to tell you a little about how I got into this world that has nothing to do with the career I studied. After graduating, I worked for a year in an insurance company called La Vitalicia, in 2016. Without work, and totally convinced that I could not be in a job depending on a minimum wage, for the reason that it was and still is impossible to survive in Venezuela in such conditions, I put aside my career and thought about learning a trade that would help me get ahead, and so I decided to take courses in eyebrow and eyelash design and makeup, At first I found this whole world of beauty difficult and at some point I thought that this was not for me, but I decided not to give up, I continued practicing and learning, I made many mistakes rehearsing with my cousins and sister (and there were many hahaha) until I felt able to serve clients and guarantee a good job. Currently this is the job I do, I love to dedicate all the love to the work that I give to each of my clients, I really enjoy doing what I do, I am a perfectionist and I like to learn, every time I can I watch tutorials, take courses, consult my colleagues, and I am very happy to see the face of satisfaction of my clients to see the results. Without a doubt I will continue to prepare myself in this beautiful career because this is what I will dedicate the rest of my life to.

En el 2019 tomé quizás la decisión más difícil que se me ha presentado hasta el momento, separarme de mi familia e irme a Colombia,
viví en la ciudad de Cali por más de un año,
allí trabajé en una peluquería y tuve una jefa a la cual quiero y respeto muchísimo, ella, junto a mis compañeros me enseñaron a trabajar uñas y cabello; con este oficio he salido adelante en este país que no es el mío, pero que me ha abierto las puertas y en el cual he encontrado personas amables que me han tendido una mano.
En esta peluquería conocí a Jhonatan, él es barbero de profesión, y es ahora mi compañero de vida, meses después de iniciar la relación quedé en embarazo y... llegó la pandemia! Y como todos sabemos durante la cuarentena estricta cerraron todos los establecimientos públicos y nos quedamos sin trabajo.
En este momento de mi vida solo recuerdo con agradecimiento todos esos meses de angustia, de preocupación y desespero, de los cuales pudimos salir, porque mi amado Dios siempre me ha mostrado su bondad y su amor infinito, demostrándome que siempre habrá una solución mientras miremos el mundo con positivismo y mantengamos la fe.
En Septiembre de 2020 nació mi hijo Isaac Alejandro, quién cambió mi vida para mejor, soy consciente de que ahora una persona depende de mí, y sé también que soy encargada de formar el hombre que él será en un futuro, por ello trato Cada día de ser una buena mamá, y una mejor persona.
En febrero de 2021 decidimos viajar a Venezuela, yo quería ver a mi familia, y quería ver si era posible establecernos allá, deseaba criar a mi hijo cerca de mis padres , de mis hermanos y de sus primos; estuvimos allá 7 meses pero no, no pudimos trabajar más que para comer, y comprarle cosas básicas a nuestro hijo, Quiero decir que admiro profundamente a la gente que aún se encuentra allá, luchando, trabajando, en un país donde la comida se encuentra a precios muy elevados y los servicios fallan todos los días. Sin embargo, nosotros decidimos emprender nuevamente el viaje, esta vez pensando en la estabilidad y el buen desarrollo de nuestro niño.
Actualmente vivimos en Bogotá, como ya les mencioné, Isaac tiene 1 año de edad y en este momento no quiero dejarlo al cuidado de alguien más, por ese motivo mi esposo y yo decidimos acondicionar un pequeño espacio en casa y convertirlo en mi lugar de trabajo, de esta manera puedo cuidar de mi hijo, trabajar y atender el hogar; es algo nada sencillo, pero que logro cada día con esfuerzo y amor.
Nuestra meta es llegar a tener un salón de belleza grande y hermoso, en mi mente lo he visualizado muchísimas veces y tengo la convicción de que lo lograremos.

In September 2020 my son Isaac Alejandro was born, who changed my life for the better, I am aware that now a person depends on me, and I also know that I am in charge of forming the man he will be in the future, so I try every day to be a good mom, and a better person.
In February 2021 we decided to travel to Venezuela, I wanted to see my family, and I wanted to see if it was possible to settle there, I wanted to raise my son near my parents, my siblings and his cousins; we were there 7 months but no, we could not work more than to eat, and buy basic things for our son, I want to say that I deeply admire the people who are still there, struggling, working, in a country where food is at very high prices and services fail every day. However, we decided to undertake the trip again, this time thinking about the stability and good development of our child.
Currently we live in Bogota, as I mentioned, Isaac is 1 year old and at this time I do not want to leave him in the care of someone else, for that reason my husband and I decided to condition a small space at home and turn it into my workplace, this way I can take care of my son, work and take care of the home; it is not something simple, but I achieve every day with effort and love.
Our goal is to have a big and beautiful beauty salon, in my mind I have visualized it many times and I have the conviction that we will achieve it.
Otra faceta de mi vida, es que me encanta la repostería y la cocina, disfruto hacer postres y me encanta salir de la rutina preparando algo diferente cada día para el almuerzo o la cena; esto se lo debo a mi madre, ella me inculcó el amor por un buen postre y una rica comida, cuando estaba en Venezuela la ayudaba a cocinar, hornear, a decorar, y una de mis partes favoritas es tomar las fotografías del producto final.
Another facet of my life is that I love baking and cooking, I enjoy making desserts and I love to get out of the routine by preparing something different every day for lunch or dinner; I owe this to my mother, she instilled in me the love for a good dessert and a delicious meal, when I was in Venezuela I helped her cook, bake, decorate, and one of my favorite parts is taking pictures of the final product.
