¡Hey Hivers! Hoy quiero compartirles una historia que mas que eso, es la realidad del matrimonio y esta fuera de toda ficción. Y aunque es común celebrar un aniversario de bodas, la diferencia radica es, que en estos tiempos de Pandemia, hasta los eventos mas importantes en una relación de pareja se han visto afectados. Pero, ¿Por que lo digo?
Hey hivers! Today I want to share a story that more than that, is the reality of marriage and is beyond all fiction. And although it is common to celebrate a wedding anniversary, the difference is, that in these times of Pandemic, even the most important events in a couple relationship have been affected. But why do I say it?
Pues bien, el virus del Covid-19 puso en cuarentena a miles de millones de personas, obligandolos a dejar de salir en su dia a dia, dar la mano, dar un abrazo, compartir y mucho mas. Todas las personas hemos sido afectadas no solo fisicamente, refiriendome a la salud, sino tambien a la parte emocional, pues todo ser humano necesita de la compañia de los demas. Esa parte sociable de todo ser, nos fue arrebatada de un dia a otro; por lo que ya estar cerca de los amigos y hasta la familia, supuso un doloroso reto.
Pero a medida que fuimos encontrando la manera de aliviar el estrés emocional que supone el distanciamiento social, muchos comprendimos y valoramos la importancia del cuidado personal y el de los demás que nos rodean, dejando a un lado el egoísmo. Y es allí donde las parejas tuvieron que suspender sus eventos sociales importantes y solo realizarlos con los mas cercanos en el hogar y aun así cumplir las estrictas normas de bioseguridad por un bien común.
Well, the Covid-19 virus quarantined billions of people, forcing them to stop going out on a daily basis, shaking hands, giving a hug, sharing and much more. All of us have been affected not only physically, referring to health, but also emotionally, since every human being needs the company of others. That sociable part of every being was taken from us from one day to the next; so being close to friends and even family was a painful challenge.
But as we found ways to relieve the emotional stress of social distancing, many of us understood and valued the importance of caring for ourselves and others around us, putting selfishness aside. And it is there that couples had to suspend their important social events and only hold them with those closest to them in the home and still comply with strict biosecurity standards for the common good.
Esto no fue la excepción para mis padres Lourdes Ramona y Jose Rengel, quienes llegaron a sus 36 años de casados, y en vista de la Pandemia; solo tuvieron que compartir en familia, los mas cercanos, intimamente. Claro esta, el uso de los dispositivos tecnológicos, como el teléfono celular, entre otros; hizo mas llevadero la carga emocional de no poder compartir ese momento tan jubiloso con los tuyos como realmente quisieras, pero es el modelo amoroso implementado para evitar contagios.
Aun así, el Covid-19 no nos ha podido arrebatar a la humanidad, el deseo de compartir. Y aunque la sorpresa dada a mis padres solo contó con la presencia de dos de sus hijos, sus dos nietos y su yerno y la nuera; no dejo de ser un momento alegre y emotivo.
This was no exception for my parents Lourdes Ramona and Jose Rengel, who have reached their 36th anniversary of marriage, and in view of the Pandemic; They only had to share with the family, the closest ones, intimately. Of course, the use of technological devices, such as cell phones, among others; It made the emotional burden of not being able to share that joyous moment with your loved ones as you really wanted more bearable, but it is the loving model implemented to avoid contagion.
Even so, Covid-19 has not been able to take away from humanity, the desire to share. And although the surprise given to my parents only had the presence of two of their children, their two grandchildren and their son-in-law and daughter-in-law; I continue to be a happy and emotional moment.
"Sorpresa, Sorpresa"
Ver sus reacciones cuando llegaban a casa a una "invitacion a comer" y encontrarse con un pastel y otros detalles, fueron gratos para la familia. Ya que no todo matrimonio actual, llega a tantos años juntos queriendose como el primer dia.
Sin embargo, el ejemplo de amor constante, fidelidad, respeto, confianza y buena comunicacion de mis padres, son una forma de alentar a los matrimonios que se estan iniciando.
Ver como mi padre mira a mi mami con esa mirada enamorada de adolescente y ser tan detallista con ella, es sumamente hermoso. Ella por su parte no deja de amarlo porque a toda mujer es obvio que la enamoran estos gestos dulces, eso la enamora mas de el.
Seeing their reactions when they came home to an "invitation to lunch" and finding a cake and other details, were pleasant for the family. Since not every current marriage reaches so many years together loving each other like the first day.
However, the example of constant love, fidelity, respect, trust and good communication of my parents, are a way to encourage marriages that are starting.
Seeing how my father looks at my mom with that enamored look of a teenager and being so detailed with her, is extremely beautiful. As for her part, she does not stop loving him because it is obvious that every woman falls in love with these sweet gestures, that makes her fall in love more with hers
Mientras pasábamos ese rato ameno en familia, mi hermana que esta fuera del país; los sorprendió con una video-llamada felicitandolos y dandoles unas conmovedoras palabras de cariño y admiración. Ella fue mi aliada para realizar esta sorpresa. Además, de eso su nieta les hizo una dedicatoria en una pancarta y el nieto les dirigió unas lindas palabras con mucho amor, en verdad todos lo disfrutamos.
Y es que por el hecho de que exista un virus contagioso y que nos ha quitado de nuestro lado a familiares y amigos; no debemos permitir que nos arrebate la alegría y las ganas de compartir. Siempre con todas las medidas de protección y cuidando a los demás, aunque sea en privado, compartamos con los nuestros, demostremosles que los amamos y no dejemos que la Pandemia restrinja nuestro amor por los demás.
While we spent that pleasant time with the family, my sister who is out of the country; she surprised them with a video call congratulating them and giving them some moving words of affection and admiration. She was my ally to make this surprise. In addition, her granddaughter made a dedication to them on a banner and the grandson addressed some nice words with a lot of love, we all really enjoyed it.
And it is because of the fact that there is a contagious virus and that it has taken our family and friends from our side; We must not allow it to take away our joy and the desire to share. Always with all the protection measures and taking care of others, even if it is in private, let's share with ours, let's show them that we love them and let's not let the Pandemic restrict our love for others.
