Mejor tarde que nunca y después de mucho batallar para conseguir el producto final, al fin puedo mostrarles el documental que realicé el año pasado junto a mis compañeros de la universidad; este ha sido uno de los procesos más complejos que he tenido para un rodaje pero sin dudas lo repetiría mil y un veces, principalmente por las personas que me apoyaron e hicieron posible este documental.
Para ponerlos un poco en contexto, aunque ya todo lo he explicado tanto en este liketu como en este mini vlog, este documental fue un favor que me pidió una amiga, Nicole, de la universidad que está por graduarse como interprete en Danza y para una de sus clases se le pidió hacer un trabajo de investigación sobre la danza en el país; la idea de Nicole era hacer una especie de vídeo con imágenes de referencia y voz en off pero yo le ofrecí la idea de hacer un documental, idea que tanto ella como su grupo amaron. Este proyecto se llevó a cabo tanto con estudiantes y profesores de Danza como con mi grupo de PAC (Proyecto Artístico Comunitario) la cual es una materia sumamente importante en cualquier carrera de UNEARTE (transdiciplinaria); como mis compañeros somos mayormente de audiovisuales, fue bastante sencillo establecer la preproducción, lo complicado y tedioso fue organizar los horarios tanto de los profesores a los que ibamos a entrevistar, las clases de las distintas disciplinas de danza que ibamos a registrar como el de nosotros mismos para que no interrumpieran nuestras clases.
Cuando todo estuvo en orden y pautado, las grabaciones fueron relativamente sencillas, admito que estaba muy nerviosa con este proyecto porque era mi primera vez dirigiendo a un grupo de personas tan grande pero considero que lo hice bien y mis amigos me felicitaron por la forma en como sobrelleve todo; entrevistamos a 4 profesores: Daniela Gonzales, Jesús Orta, María de Francia, Ricardo Valenzuela; todos profesores activos de UNEARTE, aunque teníamos la intención de entrevistar a más profesores que no fueran de la universidad, por limitaciones de tiempo no pudimos, por eso se grabó todo el contenido dentro de las instalaciones de UNEARTE, específicamente la sede de Bellas Artes.
Las preguntas fueron realizadas por las muchachas de danza, debido a que era su trabajo de investigación, así mismo ellas fueron quienes hicieron las distintas entrevistas, nosotros solo nos encargamos de la parte técnica de todo el rodaje; fue interesante grabar con un equipo casi completo, debido a que casi todas las areas de producción estaban cubiertas, aunque el equipo no lo elegí yo, salvo el camarógrafo que le pedí el favor a mi mejor amigo Daniel que me ayudara con eso debido a que conozco su trabajo y confío en él, el ambiente de rodaje fue bastante agradable, todos cumplieron a cabalidad sus funciones y acataron mis indicaciones debido a que yo era la directora de este proyecto.
Fue una experiencia muy gratificante, al punto que aclaro mis dudas en si era buena directora o no, lamentablemente también reafirmo el hecho de que me equivoqué de mención pero no me quejo debido a que la mención de Cinematografía es una de las más completas en todo el pensum de Artes Audiovisuales, sin embargo, siento que me voy a graduar con un título que no me representa y no es verdaderamente el área en la que destaco.

Better late than never and after much struggle to get the final product, I can finally show you the documentary I made last year with my college classmates; this has been one of the most complex processes I've had for a shooting but without a doubt I would repeat it a thousand and one times, mainly because of the people who supported me and made this documentary possible.
To put it in context, although I have already explained everything in this liketu as well as in this mini vlog, this documentary was a favor that a friend of mine, Nicole, from the university who is about to graduate as a dance performer and for one of her classes she was asked to do a research work on dance in the country; Nicole's idea was to make a kind of video with reference images and voiceover but I offered her the idea of making a documentary, an idea that both she and her group loved. This project was carried out both with students and teachers of Dance and with my group of CAP (Community Artistic Project) which is an extremely important subject in any career of UNEARTE (transdisciplinary); as my colleagues are mostly audiovisual, it was quite simple to establish the pre-production, the complicated and tedious was to organize the schedules of both the teachers we were going to interview, the classes of the various disciplines of dance that we were going to record and ourselves so that our classes would not be interrupted.
When everything was in order and scheduled, the recordings were relatively simple, I admit that I was very nervous with this project because it was my first time directing such a large group of people but I consider that I did well and my friends congratulated me for the way I handled everything; we interviewed 4 professors: Daniela Gonzales, Jesus Orta, Maria de Francia, Ricardo Valenzuela; all active professors of UNEARTE, although we had the intention of interviewing more professors that were not from the university, due to time constraints we could not, that's why all the content was recorded inside the UNEARTE facilities, specifically the Bellas Artes headquarters.
The questions were asked by the dance girls, because it was their research work, and they were the ones who did the different interviews, we were only in charge of the technical part of the whole shooting; It was interesting to shoot with an almost complete team, because almost all the production areas were covered, although the team wasn't chosen by me, except for the cameraman that I asked my best friend Daniel to help me with that because I know his work and I trust him, the shooting environment was quite pleasant, everyone fulfilled their duties and followed my instructions because I was the director of this project.
It was a very gratifying experience, to the point that it clarified my doubts on whether I was a good director or not, unfortunately I also reaffirm the fact that I made a mistake in the mention but I am not complaining because the mention of Cinematography is one of the most complete in the whole Audiovisual Arts curriculum, however, I feel that I will graduate with a degree that does not represent me and it is not really the area in which I excel.
