No hay nada mas reconfortante en la vida que tener aspiraciones y metas por las que trabajar, y hoy (10/03/2022) la banda Alemana más importante y reconocida del género del Power Metal ha anunciado fecha de presentación en la maravillosa ciudad de Bogotá-Colombia y sin dudarlo ni por un segundo, lo primero que me dije fue: Bogotá allá voy! y lo segundo que me dije fue: “Hive, let´s go!”
There is nothing more comforting in life than having aspirations and goals to work for it, and today (2022/03/10) the most important and recognized German band of the Power Metal genre has announced a performance date in the wonderful city of Bogota-Colombia and without hesitating for a second, the first thing I said to myself was: "Bogotá here I come! and the second thing I said to myself was: "Hive, let's go!"
Varias son las razones del porque debo ir a esta cita, pero el día de hoy quiero compartir con la maravillosa comunidad de @Aliento, mis razones del porque debo acudir a este evento y trabajar duro para ello, pues haciendo valer el nombre de esta magnífica comunidad, debo alentarme a mi mismo y porque no, recibir aliento de igual forma para esforzarme en conseguir si o si esta meta y esta publicación será la declaración de mi decreto de trabajar para conseguir esta meta.
There are several reasons why I should go to this event, but today I want to share with the wonderful community of @Aliento, my reasons why I should go to this event and work hard for it, because exalting the name of this magnificent community, I must encourage myself and why not, receive encouragement in the same way to strive to achieve if or if this goal and this publication will be the declaration of my decree to work to achieve this goal.
Un poco de mi Historia: Escucho esta espectacular banda Alemana llamada Helloween desde el año 1999, gracias a un gran amigo de la adolescencia el cual este me hizo llegar un “Cassette” si, un formato Cassette (Así de old School) con grabaciones de varias canciones de bandas de Heavy Metal, Trash Metal y Power Metal entre las cuales se encontraban un par de temas de esta espectacular banda y desde ese momento quedé enamorado completamente de este material y al día de hoy solo puedo desear que todos tengan mas amigos así que les compartan música sin fronteras.
A little bit of my History: I have been listening to this spectacular German band called Helloween since 1999, thanks to a great friend from my adolescence who sent me a "Tape" yes, a Tape format (so old school) with recordings of several songs of Heavy Metal, Trash Metal and Power Metal bands among which there were a couple of songs of this spectacular band and from that moment I was completely in love with this material and today I can only wish that everyone has more friends who share music without borders.
Finales del año 2005: contra todo pronóstico y de forma inesperada, la banda anunció fecha de presentación en Caracas-Venezuela ¡¡¡No lo podíamos creer!!! Pero si, el 06 de Abril del año 2006 los Venezolanos tendríamos la oportunidad de ver a esta grandiosa banda en nuestras tierras en la capital, Caracas ¿y por qué no lo podíamos creer? Pues Venezuela venía de un largo periodo de no traer bandas de este estilo al país y justo entre los años 2005 y 2006, retomaron este sendero de traer bandas importantes del ámbito del Metal Internacional, puedo decir que teníamos casi 20 años sin contar con la presencia en tierras Venezolanas de bandas de este estilo musical hasta esas fechas y pues claro, 20 años atrás yo aun era muy chico.
End of 2005: against all odds and unexpectedly, the band announced a date to perform in Caracas-Venezuela! But yes, on April 6th, 2006 we Venezuelans would have the opportunity to see this great band in our lands in the capital of the country, Caracas and why couldn't we believe it? Well Venezuela was coming from a long period of not bringing bands of this style to the country and just between the years 2005 and 2006, Venezuela resumed this path of bringing important bands of the International Metal scene in general, I can say that we had almost 20 years without having the presence in Venezuelan lands of bands of this musical style until those dates and of course, 20 years ago I was still very young, let's say that for me, everything happened in the perfect time.
06 de Abril del año 2006: llegó el día esperado por mis hermanos y amigos, en ese entonces aun residía en la ciudad de Maracaibo Edo. Zulia, el cual se encuentra a unas 9 horas de trayectoria en autobús hasta la capital Venezolana, Caracas. Así que desde la noche del día anterior fue toda una aventura, desde comprar el ticket de entrada previamente en mi ciudad (meses antes del evento), hasta realizar el viaje en autobús para llegar al sitio del encuentro en el “Poliedro de Caracas”, así que ese día llegamos a la capital y recuerdo que lo primero que hicimos fue acercarnos hasta el Centro Comercial Sambil, para lavarnos los dientes y comer algo, mientras esperábamos a que se hiciera un poco más tarde para ir hasta el lugar del evento. Luego de meses de espera, llegó la gran noche para nosotros y el momento de disfrutar por primera vez a la banda de Power Metal mas brutal y reconocida de toda la Historia y quiero compartir con toda la comunidad algunas fotos de ese día tan memorable tomadas por mi con mi celular analógico tipo qwerty NOKIA 😁
April 6th, 2006: came the long awaited day for my brothers and friends, at that time I was still living in the city of Maracaibo, Zulia State, which is about 9 hours away by bus to the Venezuelan capital, Caracas. So from the night of the previous day it was quite an adventure, from buying the entrance ticket previously in my city (months before the event), to make the bus trip to get to the meeting place in the famous "Poliedro de Caracas", so that day we arrived to the capital my brothers and friends and I remember that the first thing we did was to go to the Sambil Mall, to brush our teeth and eat something, while we waited until it was a little later to get closer to the place of the event. After months of waiting, the great night arrived for us and the good moment to enjoy for the first time the most brutal and recognized Power Metal band in history, 16 Years later still dont have the best words to describe my happiness in that wonderfull day, and I want to share with all the community some pictures of that memorable day taking by my super analogic qwerty NOKIA Cellphone 😁
Primeros meses del año 2011: viví una de las más grandes frustraciones en mi vida, pues si, Helloween VOLVERÍA AL PAIS ese año!! anunciaron dentro de su gira en Latinoamérica, una nueva fecha para volver a Venezuela!! 5 años después de aquel memorable 06 de Abril del 2006, volveríamos a ver a los Pumpkins en escena y por si fuera poco, esta banda vendría a compartir escensario nada más y nada menos que con otra de las mayores bandas de Power Metal del momento, nada más y nada menos que STRATOVARIUS.. y pues todo se dio como en aquel 2006, nadie se lo esperaba pero para esta oportunidad, yo me encontré menos receloso y más confiado en que si vendrían pero no…. No fue así :(, mis hermanos y yo compramos con muchos meses de anticipación el correspondiente ticket de entrada y de pronto, ya cerca el evento, nos enteramos que simplemente habían cancelado la presentación en Venezuela, así que toooda la comunidad metalera que adquirimos las entradas quedamos como decimos en Venezuela, “vestidos y alborotados” y lo peor, no recibimos reembolso por nuestras entradas, ósea, una total robo y tragedia..
First months of 2011: I lived one of the biggest frustrations in my life, because yes, Helloween would come back to the country that year!!! they announced within their tour in Latin America, a new date to return to Venezuela!!! 5 years after that memorable April 6th 2006, we would see again the Pumpkins on stage and if that wasn't enough, this band would come to share the stage with nothing more and nothing less than another of the biggest Power Metal bands of the moment, nothing more and nothing less than STRATOVARIUS... and everything happened as in that 2006, nobody expected it but for this opportunity, I was less suspicious and more confident that they would come but no..... It was not like that :(, my brothers and I bought many months in advance the corresponding ticket and suddenly, close to the event, we found out that they had simply cancelled the show in Venezuela, so all the metal community that bought the tickets were left as we say in Venezuela, "dressed and in a mess" and the worst, we did not receive a refund for our tickets, a total Stole and tragedy.
10 de Marzo del 2022 (fecha que realizo este post): sencillamente debo sacarme esa mala espina de aquel fatídico 2011, es importante acotar y como ya todos bien conocen, debido a la situación política y económica del país, Venezuela entró en total declive desde el año 2014 y por lo tanto, no hemos tenido oportunidad alguna de poder volver a disfrutar de bandas de ese tipo en el territorio, así que he decidido emprender una nueva aventura y fijarme una meta: Ir a Bogotá a visitar a mi hermano después de 3 años sin vernos en persona e ir con el a ver a Helloween! Muchos son los obstáculos que hay para cumplir esta meta, pero vamos.. lo importante es que le voy a poner corazón para viajar e ir con el a verlos de nuevo en escenario después de muchos años sin disfrutar de un buen concierto de Heavy Metal en vivo y les aseguro que HIVE, será parte importante para llevar a cabo este proyecto!
March 10, 2022 (Date on which I make this post): I simply must get rid of that bad thorn of that fateful 2011 full of frustration, it is important to note that as everyone knows well, the political and economic situation of the country, Venezuela went into total decline since 2014 and therefore, we have not had any opportunity to return to enjoy bands like that in our country, so I decided to embark on a new adventure and set a goal: To go to Bogota to visit my brother after 3 years without seeing each other in person and go with him to see Helloween! ! There are many obstacles to accomplish this goal, but come on... the important thing is that I will put my heart to travel and go with him to see them again on stage after many years without enjoying a good Heavy Metal concert live and I assure you that HIVE will be an important part to carry out this project!
