LAS DISTRACCIONES DE CHUAO SON LA FIESTA, EL ALCOHOL, EL SEXO Y EL CHISME
CHUAO'S DISTRACTIONS ARE PARTY, ALCOHOL, SEX AND GOSSIP
Llevo un mes viviendo en las costas de Aragua, en el pequeño pueblo de Chuao, he de decir que una de las cosas que mas me ha impresionado es la capacidad que tienen sus habitantes de vivir de fiesta en fiesta, me parece tan increíble que siempre tengan un motivo para celebrar, y cuando digo celebrar es de esas celebraciones a lo grande, donde tiran la casa por la ventana.
I have been living on the coasts of Aragua for a month, in the small town of Chuao, I have to say that one of the things that has impressed me the most is the ability of its inhabitants to live from party to party, it seems so incredible that always have a reason to celebrate, and when I say celebrate it is one of those celebrations in a big way, where they throw the house out the window.
Creo que los que vivimos en zonas mas centricas del país a veces vivimos tan centrados en cosas como el trabajo, el tráfico, las redes sociales, que a veces perdemos esa capacidad de aprender a simplemente disfrutar del momento y divertirse. No digo que vivir de fiesta todo el día, todos los días sea un estilo de vida muy fácil de llevar, o incluso saludable para nuestro hígado, pero creo que entienden el punto de lo que quiero decir.
I think that those of us who live in more central areas of the country sometimes live so focused on things like work, traffic, social networks, that sometimes we lose that ability to learn to simply enjoy the moment and have fun. I'm not saying that living partying all day, every day is a very easy lifestyle to carry, or even healthy for our liver, but I think you get the point of what I mean.
Me causa mucha gracia que a ellos les sorprenda tanto que "La Doctora" no sepa bailar salsa, y es que bueno entre mis virtudes no esta eso de saber bailar, yo nací prácticamente con dos pies izquierdos y por mas que con las clases que he recibido de ellos estos días digan que estoy mejorando, se que no es asi. Y si ya no sabia bailar salsa se podrán imaginar como me va con el tambor. Pero lo que rescato de esto, es que con el tiempo he ido perdiendo el miedo hacer el ridículo, ya solo me uno a las ruedas de tambor y bailo salsa a mi manera, para divertirme, sin pensar tanto las cosas.
I am very amused that they are so surprised that "The Doctor" does not know how to dance salsa, and it is that good among my virtues is not that of knowing how to dance, I was born practically with two left feet and even more than with the classes that I have received from them these days say that I am improving, I know that it is not so. And if I no longer knew how to dance salsa, you can imagine how it goes with the drum. But what I rescued from this is that over time I have lost the fear of making a fool of myself, and I just join the drum wheels and dance salsa in my own way, to have fun, without thinking so much about things.
Todas las personas que ven mis estados, que ven las fotos que publico, que escuchan mis anécdotas siempre me preguntan que si de verdad yo trabajo, porque siempre parece que andamos de parranda en parranda, días de sol, playa y fiesta. Pero aunque no lo crean si se trabaja y bastante, solo que bueno, muchas veces los viajes en lancha y las visitas a la playa, incluso ir a las celebraciones del pueblo es parte del trabajo de ser el doctor. Porque no se crean que todo es color de rosa, esas alocadas fiestas implican mucha ingesta de alcohol, y muchos accidentes, muchas peleas, muchos heridos, mucha práctica para fabricar bebes y por ende mucho trabajo para los médicos.
All the people who see my statuses, who see the photos I post, who listen to my anecdotes always ask me if I really work, because it always seems that we go on a binge, sunny days, beach and partying. But believe it or not if you work a lot, just good, many times boat trips and visits to the beach, even going to town celebrations is part of the job of being the doctor. Because do not believe that everything is rosy, those crazy parties involve a lot of alcohol intake, and many accidents, many fights, many injuries, a lot of practice in making babies and therefore a lot of work for the doctors.
Poco a poco voy adaptándome a este nuevo estilo de vida, a estar sin señal, a desconectarme un poco del teléfono y claro esta que practicando los nuevos pasos de salsa y tambor que me han ido enseñando, la meta es mover las caderas como las mujeres chuaenses de aquí a que termine mi artículo 8.
