"The most difficult victory is the victory over oneself."
(Aristotle).
The phrase of the Greek philosopher Aristotle has remained valid for more than two thousand years, it is difficult not to agree that it is a great truth and an excellent guide. Because, those of us who have not had doubts and even felt such a level of demotivation when faced with a life situation that seems insurmountable, but in the end we have been able to overcome it, if not overcome it, at least not allow it to affect us, paralyze us and prevent us from continuing to live and achieve small victories until we triumph in great battles.
Although the phrase could be the subject of a broad analysis and generate a large number of writings, it reminded me of the seven deadly sins, specifically that of laziness, because I believe that when we make laziness part of our daily lives, it is highly likely that we will not achieve our goals and less progress either materially, spiritually, emotionally and intellectually. We are surrounded by the temptation of not doing or postponing things, so we accumulate desires, dreams, objectives and goals to fulfill, when we review we realize that we have failed to do many things and it will not be strange that our mind comes the phrase "if I had done or started to do this or that thing" but then the defense mechanism of rationalization will be triggered in our mind, We will find a compendium of excuses and justifications, but of course these will not change the result of our inaction or laziness, nor will they prevent us from periodically feeling that we are lacking things to do and that time is inexorably passing. From experience I know that although this tends to happen to all humans because of our nature of continually learning and wanting to achieve the mythical self-realization. I believe that it affects less those who, as the wise Greeks say, have been accumulating small victories over themselves, because they have learned to overcome their fears and dominate the temptation to fall frequently into the cardinal sin of laziness.

Saludos.
