Y es que hay momentos en los que el camino se ha hecho tan pesado que deseado desistir, hay momentos como el de ahora en los que deseo seguir adelante, aunque lleno de miedo por dar ese salto al vacío. Quizá la respuesta se encuentre, como casi siempre, andando el camino porque nunca se conoce realmente el destino del siguiente paso que hayamos de dar.
And there are times when the path has become so heavy that I want to give up, there are times like now when I want to keep going, even though I am afraid to take that leap into the void. Perhaps the answer can be found, as is almost always the case, by walking the path because we never really know the destination of the next step we are to take.
Anduve y anduve y seguí andando,
en este camino que he andado,
al echar la vista atrás
y recordar mi pasado.
Nunca imaginé ser tan fuerte;
momentos hubo donde lo que
más deseé fue dar el último
de mis alientos a cambio
de en la paz perenne desvanecerme.
Pero el camino seguía y lo anduve,
cansado, dubitativo, pesaroso,
con miedos anduve y he andado.
Vuelvo la vista y observo a lo lejos
aquel sitio donde deseé terminarlo,
miro hacia el frente y aun hay miedo,
y también ganas, muchas ganas
de seguir andando.

I walked and walked and kept on walking,
on this road that I have walked,
as I look back
and remember my past.
I never imagined I was so strong;
there were times when what
I wanted the most was to give the last
of my breaths in exchange
for the everlasting peace to fade away.
But the road went on and I walked it,
tired, hesitant, heavy,
with fears I walked and have walked.
I turn my eyes and I see in the distance
that place where I wished to end it,
I look ahead and there is still fear,
and also desire, a lot of desire
to keep walking.
