Hay silencio antes de nacer,
y silencio tras la muerte.
La vida es ese ruido que
nos acontece entre
un par de insondables silencios.
Nada debe provocar enmudecer,
a abrazar el silencio,
llorar en soledad
o callar el pensamiento.
Ni recuerdos de tiempos pasados
en los que la angustia,
la tristeza o el desaliento,
coexistían sin razonamiento.
¿Vivir en silencio como acompañamiento?
Prefiero las palabras,
aunque el cliché rece,
que las arrebata el viento.
No imagino el fuego mudo,
su crepitar contante
al calor acompaña.
No hay silencio cuando llueve,
miles de gotitas impactan
con su música.
Y el viento tampoco calla.
La vida es todo menos
Insondable silencio.

Life is that noise that
happens to us between
a pair of fathomless silences.
Nothing should cause us to fall silent,
to embrace silence,
to cry in solitude
or to silence the thought.
Not even memories of times past
in which anguish,
sadness or discouragement
coexisted without reasoning.
Living in silence as an accompaniment?
I prefer words,
even if the cliché recites,
that the wind snatches them away.
I can't imagine a silent fire,
its constant crackling
accompanies the heat.
There is no silence when it rains,
thousands of droplets impact
with their music.
And the wind is not silent either.
Life is everything but
Fathomless silence.
