📌 Lo que nadie te contó sobre mudarse de plataforma (pero yo sí)
Imaginen esto: Un día te levantas, miras al horizonte con tu taza de café (o mate, si eres más aventurero) y piensas: "¿Será que hoy dejo atrás mi vida pasada y me lanzo a un nuevo mundo?" Bueno, eso me pasó con Steemit. Durante un buen tiempo, esa plataforma fue mi hogar digital, el lugar donde compartía mis viajes, mis pensamientos de nómada digital y hasta mis fotos de comida (sí, todos lo hacemos, no me juzguen). Pero, como en toda buena historia de amor, a veces la vida te lleva por otros caminos…
Un día, sin previo aviso, simplemente dejé de publicar en Steemit. No fue porque me hackearon, ni porque me fui a una isla sin internet (aunque no suena mal), sino por razones personales. Digamos que la vida pasó. Y así, sin más, me alejé de esa comunidad de viajeros y exploradores digitales. Hasta que, en este 2025, llegó una nueva chispa de inspiración: Hive.
🏠 Mudarse de plataforma es como mudarse de país
Si alguna vez has cambiado de ciudad, sabes que el proceso no es tan fácil como empacar tus cosas y ya. Tienes que aprender nuevas reglas, conocer a los vecinos y, lo más importante, descubrir en qué tienda venden el mejor pan (o en este caso, cómo funciona la comunidad de Hive).
Hive me recibió con los brazos abiertos, pero también con la necesidad de hacer algo muy claro: no voy a reciclar contenido ni buscar doble recompensa. Lo que pasó en Steemit, se queda en Steemit. Aquí en Hive, todo será nuevo, fresco y con más aventuras que un capítulo de Dora la Exploradora.
🤔 "Pero David, ¿por qué aclararlo?"
Ah, mi querido lector, resulta que en Hive algunos son un poquito… cautelosos con los que vienen de Steemit. Imagínate llegar a una reunión donde nadie te conoce y decir: "Hola, vengo de la plataforma que ustedes no confían mucho, pero juro que soy buena onda". 😅
Por eso, quiero que quede claro: mi nuevo hogar digital es Hive. Aquí compartiré mis viajes, mi amor por la cultura, la gastronomía y las rutas ocultas de Perú. Porque sí, soy de esos que cree que la mejor manera de conocer un país es perdiéndose en sus calles y probando la comida de los mercados locales. (Si no has comido un ceviche en un puerto pesquero, ¿realmente has estado en Perú?)
🎥 "Pero David, ¿dónde puedo ver tus aventuras?"
Buena pregunta, amigo curioso. Como me encanta documentar mis viajes, también subo videos a YouTube. Pero aquí viene un pequeño problema: subir videos a 3Speak es como pedirle a un WiFi público que funcione bien… no va a pasar. Yo trabajo con datos móviles y, honestamente, 3Speak parece que solo acepta videos subidos desde la NASA. Así que por ahora, mis videos estarán en YouTube, pero todo el contenido escrito y detallado sobre mis viajes estará en Hive.
🚀 Un nuevo comienzo, sin mirar atrás
Así que, para cerrar este capítulo y abrir uno nuevo, quiero agradecer a todos los que me acompañaron en Steemit y dar la bienvenida a quienes me encontrarán en Hive. Aquí estaré compartiendo mis nuevas aventuras, explorando rincones de Perú y del mundo, y dejando mi huella digital en un nuevo hogar.
Si alguna vez te has preguntado qué se siente dejar atrás una plataforma y empezar de nuevo, te lo resumo en una frase: Es como mudarse a otro país sin saber hablar el idioma, pero con muchas ganas de aprender.

Well, that’s exactly what happened to me with Steemit. For a long time, that platform was my digital home, the place where I shared my travels, my thoughts as a digital nomad, and even my food pictures (yes, we all do it, don’t judge me). But like any good love story, sometimes life takes you down a different path…
One day, without warning, I just stopped posting on Steemit. It wasn’t because I got hacked, nor because I moved to an island with no internet (although that doesn’t sound bad). It was simply personal reasons. Life happened. And so, just like that, I drifted away from that community of travelers and digital explorers. Until now, in 2025, when a new spark of inspiration hit me: Hive.
🏠 Moving Platforms Is Like Moving to a New Country
If you’ve ever moved to a new city, you know that the process isn’t as simple as packing your things and leaving. You have to learn new rules, meet your neighbors, and, most importantly, find out where to buy the best bread (or in this case, how the Hive community works).
Hive welcomed me with open arms, but it also required me to be very clear: I will not recycle content or seek double rewards. What happened on Steemit stays on Steemit. Here on Hive, everything will be new, fresh, and filled with more adventures than an episode of Dora the Explorer.
🤔 "But David, Why Clarify This?"
Ah, my dear reader, it turns out that some people on Hive are a bit... cautious about those coming from Steemit. Imagine walking into a party where no one knows you and saying, "Hi, I come from that platform you don’t really trust, but I swear I’m cool." 😅
That’s why I want to be clear: Hive is my new digital home. Here, I’ll share my travels, my love for culture, gastronomy, and the hidden routes of Peru. Because yes, I’m one of those who believe that the best way to know a country is by getting lost in its streets and tasting the food at local markets. (If you haven’t eaten ceviche at a fishing port, have you really been to Peru?)
🎥 "But David, Where Can I Watch Your Adventures?"
Good question, my curious friend. Since I love documenting my travels, I also upload videos to YouTube. But here comes a little problem: uploading videos to 3Speak is like expecting public WiFi to work perfectly… it’s just not going to happen. I rely on mobile data, and honestly, 3Speak seems to only accept videos uploaded from NASA’s internet connection. So for now, my videos will be on YouTube, but all my written and detailed travel content will be on Hive.
🚀 A New Beginning, Without Looking Back
So, to close this chapter and start a new one, I want to thank everyone who accompanied me on Steemit and welcome those who will find me on Hive. Here, I’ll be sharing my new adventures, exploring corners of Peru and the world, and leaving my digital footprint in a new home.
