Hola amigos de HIVE, Angie les saluda una vez más por esta vía.
Cada 16 de febrero celebro la vida de uno de mis seres queridos más importante en mi vida: Mi mamá.
En mis primeras publicaciones de HIVE hablé un poco sobre mi familia, particularmente en la presentación hablé sobre padres y la influencia que han tenido en mi vida. Pero hoy quiero profundizar con mi relación con mi madre y sus 50 años de vida celebrados hace un par de días.
Desde pequeña he admirado a mi mamá, siempre la veía como una mujer muy inteligente y trabajadora, se casó joven y al poco tiempo se convirtió en madre. Pero la responsabilidad de una familia no la detuvo en seguir su camino en búsqueda de alcanzar su titulación universitaria y crecer profesionalmente. Pasó largas noches estudiando con unos niños pequeños bajo su responsabilidad, que al poco tiempo transformó en largas noches corrigiendo a sus estudiantes.
Su pasión por su profesión salía a relucir siempre, amaba dar clases, ser docente era lo que más disfrutaba. Tanto ella como mi padre siempre me resaltaron la importancia de buscar algo que amara hacer, ella siempre me repetía que el secreto de la vida estaba en dedicarse en algo por amor, palabras que aún resuenan en mi mente.
Por algunos años continuos, mi mamá se dedicó a clases en diferentes áreas, sin embargo el país comenzó a sufrir cambios y la economía comenzó a apretar los bolsillos, ser docente no daba para la crianza de tres hijos en ese tiempo, ahora 4. Cuando tenía 10 años aproximadamente, mi mamá comenzó a dedicarse más al área administrativa de empresas porque el salario era superior al de los educadores, eso fue gracias a una especialidad en gerencia que realizó en el turno de la noche por 2 años al salir de su trabajo de 8 horas continuas.
Algo que heredé de ella fue la necesidad de mantenerme en constante aprendizaje, en diferentes áreas, siempre tiene el comentario de estar haciendo algún curso o taller que está segura le servirá en un futuro y es algo también he replicado. Me gusta aprender nuevas cosas y en el área del periodismo debemos mantenernos actualizados en temas variados.
Mi madre me ha enseñado a siempre tener nuevas metas, que si alcanzo un propósito debo encaminarme rápidamente en otro, que siempre hay algo nuevo que aprender y eso te ayudará en algún momento de tu vida. El contexto Venezolano ha puesto muchísimas pruebas en la vida de sus ciudadanos y mis padres me han demostrado que siempre es posible superar cada una de ellas.
Cabe destacar que el carácter y personalidad de mi mamá es un poco rígido en ocasiones, pero suelo encontrar inevitable lo severa y dura que es a veces. Es madre de tres jóvenes-adultos y una adolescente, siempre los aconseja y su presencia en nuestra vida siempre se manifiesta, constantemente tiene un comentario y aunque sea severo o contundente, es el necesario y es el adecuando.
El tipo de personalidad que tengo es más tranquila y juguetona, por lo que suelo chocar con ella, pero siempre conseguimos hablar y llegar a acuerdos, pero si no es posible, porque hay casos de casos, mi papá entra como mediador y siempre logra que arreglemos cualquier diferencia que tengamos en ese momento.
Hoy en día mi mamá tuvo la oportunidad de seguir trabajando en lo que le apasiona, la docencia, gracias a la oportunidad que recibió en una universidad de la ciudad, sin embargo, es evidente que la realidad del país no ha mejorado y los sueldos de los profesores siguen siendo uno de los más bajos, pero también realiza el trabajo de llevar la administración de una empresa, comparte su tiempo con ambas responsabilidades que le permiten tener una estabilidad y cubrir medianamente sus gastos.
Ella me sigue demostrando la importancia del trabajo arduo y la constancia, que del esfuerzo se consiguen los resultados y eso me ha bastado para que sea la persona que me inspira a diario, gracia a su apoyo inicié como pasante en el que se convirtió luego mi primer trabajo, me acompañó a la entrevista con 17 años y llenó de fortaleza a la nerviosa Angie de ese momento.
Hoy a sus 50 años celebro su vida, valoro la influencia que ha tenido en mi vida y para mí es la representación de la mujer venezolana: Hija, madre, hermosa, carismática, bondadosa y encantadora. La noche del 16 de febrero nos reunimos en familia y la agasajamos con la celebración por su cumpleaños, cantando la larga canción venezolana y riendo por sus ocurrencias.

Every February 16th I celebrate the life of one of the most important loved ones in my life: My mom.
In my first HIVE posts I talked a bit about my family, particularly in the introduction I talked about parents and the influence they have had in my life. But today I want to delve deeper into my relationship with my mom and her 50 years of life celebrated a couple of days ago.
Since I was a little girl I have admired my mom, I always saw her as a very intelligent and hard working woman, she married young and soon after became a mother. But the responsibility of a family did not stop her from pursuing a college degree and professional growth. She spent long nights studying with young children under her responsibility, which she soon turned into long nights correcting her students.
Her passion for her profession always came out, she loved teaching, being a teacher was what she enjoyed the most. Both she and my father always stressed to me the importance of dedicating myself to something I loved, she always repeated that the secret of life was to dedicate oneself to something for love, words that still echo in my mind.
For some continuous years, my mother dedicated herself to teaching in different areas, however the country began to suffer changes and the economy began to tighten the pockets, being a teacher was not enough to raise three children at that time, now 4. When I was about 10 years old, my mother began to dedicate herself more to the administrative area of companies because the salary was higher than that of educators, that was thanks to a specialty in administration that she did in the night shift for 2 years after leaving her job of 8 continuous hours.
Something I inherited from her was the need to keep myself in constant learning, in different areas, she always has the comment to be doing some course or workshop that she is sure will serve her in the future and it is something that I have also replicated. I like to learn new things and in the area of journalism you have to keep updated on various topics.
My mother has taught me to always have new goals, that if I achieve one purpose I must quickly move on to another, that there is always something new to learn and that it will serve you at some point in your life. The Venezuelan context has put many tests in the lives of its citizens and my parents have shown me that it is always possible to overcome each one of them.
It should be noted that my mom's character and personality is a bit rigid at times, but I find it unavoidable how stern and hard she is at times. She is the mother of three young-adults and a teenager, she always advises them and her presence in our life is always manifest, she constantly has a comment and even if it is severe or forceful, it is the necessary and appropriate one.
The type of personality I have is more calm and playful, so I usually clash with her, but we always manage to talk and reach agreements, but if it is not possible, because there are cases of cases, my dad enters as a mediator and always manages to fix the differences we have at that time.
Today my mom had the opportunity to continue working in what she is passionate about, teaching, thanks to the opportunity she received at a university in the city, however, it is clear that the reality of the country has not improved and teachers' salaries are still among the lowest, but she also does the work of managing the administration of a company, she shares her time with both responsibilities that allow her to have stability and cover her expenses moderately.
She continues to show me the importance of hard work and perseverance, that through effort you get results and that has been enough for me to be the person who inspires me every day, thanks to her support I started as an intern in what later became my first job, she accompanied me to the interview with 17 years and filled with strength the nervous Angie of that time.
Today at 50 years old I celebrate her life, I value the influence she has had in my life and for me she is the representation of the Venezuelan woman: daughter, mother, beautiful, charismatic, kind and charming. The night of February 16 we gathered as a family and celebrated her birthday, singing the long Venezuelan song and laughing with her witticisms.
