¡Hey! ¡Feliz Navidad a todos! Espero hayan tenido una bonita noche, yo si la pase muy bien con mi familia, compartiendo con mi abuela, mis primos, mis hermanas y mis tios. Hoy quiero hablarles de lo que ha sido esta navidad para mi y las actividades que hemos hecho en familia y lo mucho que me han gustado.
Hey, Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you had a nice night, I had a great time with my family, sharing with my grandmother, my cousins, my sisters and my aunts and uncles. Today I want to tell you about what this Christmas has been like for me and the activities we have done as a family and how much I enjoyed them.
Yo ya llevo dos años viviendo al cuidado de mi primo y mi abuela, ellos dos nos cuidan a mi y mis tres hermanas menores, es increíble pensar que ya han pasado dos años, y está ya es mi tercera navidad con ellos. Mis padres se encuentran fuera desde ese entonces, y gracias a Dios nos ha ido mucho mejor aquí, aunque si extraño a mi mamá y mi hermana mayor y espero verlas pronto.
I have been living with my cousin and grandmother for two years now, they take care of me and my three younger sisters, it is incredible to think that it has been two years already, and this is already my third Christmas with them. My parents have been away since then, and thank God we have been doing much better here, although I do miss my mom and older sister and hope to see them soon.
Este diciembre ha sido genial, primero por haber terminado mi primer lapso con buenas notas y ansioso por ver mi boletín, ya ando cursando segundo año en el liceo, y pensar que cuando llegue aquí estaba en sexto grado. Hasta los momentos he recibido varios obsequios esta navidad, tanto de mi tio, como de mi primo y mi abuela, y eso me pone muy feliz.
This December has been great, first for having finished my first term with good grades and anxious to see my report card, I am already a sophomore in high school, and to think that when I arrived here I was in sixth grade. So far I have received several gifts this Christmas, from my uncle, my cousin and my grandmother, and that makes me very happy.
Pero nada de esto me pone más emocionado que hacer hallacas, ya que se reúne toda la familia y todos ayudamos y colaboramos. Esta vez se hicieron en casa de mi abuela y yo ayude en todo, tanto amarrar, como llenar las hallacas, picar las hojas y los aliños. Ver el proceso y formar parte de él es muy genial.
But nothing makes me more excited than making hallacas, since the whole family gets together and we all help and collaborate. This time they were made at my grandmother's house and I helped with everything, from tying, filling the hallacas, chopping the leaves and seasoning. Seeing the process and being part of it is very cool.
Mi familia no es muy grande, pero si trabajamos mucho, hasta mis hermanitas ayudaron, y eso hace que el trabajo sea rápido, ese día lo pasamos agradable entre mis hermanas, mi tia, mi primo y mi abuela. Hicimos muchas hallacas, las cuales serán para regalar a vecinos, y la cena del 24 y el 31. Este 24 me comí como cuatro hallacas en el transcurso del dia, y hoy también desayune con hallacas.
My family is not very big, but we work a lot, even my little sisters helped, and that makes the work go fast, that day we had a nice time between my sisters, my aunt, my cousin and my grandmother. We made many hallacas, which will be given to neighbors, and dinner on the 24th and 31st. This 24th I ate about four hallacas in the course of the day, and today I also had hallacas for breakfast.
El día que hicimos hallacas también me hice una creación con la masa que quedó, era como un bollo con cara, y le hice los ojos con dos pedazos de carne, primero creí que al cocinarse perdería la forma pero la conservo. Mi abuela siempre nos consiente en ese sentido, nos deja ser creativos, y también nos hace ricas comidas si nos portamos bien o para las reuniones.
The day we made hallacas I also made a creation with the dough that was left, it was like a bun with a face, and I made the eyes with two pieces of meat, at first I thought that when it was cooked it would lose its shape but I kept it. My grandmother always spoils us in that sense, she lets us be creative, and also makes us delicious meals if we behave well or for gatherings.
Adoro a mi familia, y aún con la ausencia de mi mamá, la cual a veces nos llama para saber de nosotros, este tiempo ha sido muy bueno, poco a poco nos ha ido mejor, en todo el año han sido varias reuniones, tanto de cumpleaños como los fin de semana en los que jugamos bingo, cartas y muchos juegos más, donde bailamos, competimos, y cantamos, siendo cosas muy maravillosas, que espero seguir compartiendo con mis familiares.
I love my family, and even with the absence of my mom, who sometimes calls us to hear from us, this time has been very good, little by little we have been doing better, throughout the year there have been several meetings, both birthdays and weekends where we play bingo, cards and many more games, where we dance, compete, and sing, being very wonderful things, which I hope to continue sharing with my family.
Espero este año 2022 siga siendo así o mejor, y seguir compartiendo con mi familia y que tal vez mi mamá vuelva aunque sea a visitarnos, espero me siga yendo bien en mis estudios y seguir aprendiendo cosas. Sin duda estar aquí ha cambiado mi vida, he vivido más tranquilo y mejor a como estaba antes, y me agrada. Mi familia siempre nos demuestra que nos aman mucho a mi y mis hermanas, tanto que este para mi ya es mi hogar y espero seguir viviendo con mi abuela.
I hope this year 2022 continues to be like this or better, and continue sharing with my family and maybe my mom will come back to visit us, I hope to continue doing well in my studies and continue learning things. Without a doubt being here has changed my life, I have lived calmer and better than before, and I like it. My family always shows us that they love me and my sisters very much, so much that this is my home and I hope to continue living with my grandmother.
Por eso hace poco empecé aquí en #hive, porque así no sólo explotó más mi creatividad con mis dibujos y manualidades, sino que también puedo aportarle algo a mi abuela y sentir que la ayudo, ya que es mi forma de agradecerle por todo lo que ha hecho por mi y mis hermanas. Mi abuela y mi primo que ahora es como un padre para mi, incluso también es mi padrino, nos han enseñado muchas cosas y se nota de verdad cuanto se preocupan por nosotros. Aunque siempre nos han cuidado desde que nacimos, ya que antes vivíamos aqui, hasta que nos mudamos hace como 7 años, y ahora hemos vuelto.
That's why I recently started here at #hive, because this way I not only exploited my creativity more with my drawings and crafts, but I can also contribute something to my grandmother and feel like I'm helping her, since it's my way of thanking her for everything she has done for me and my sisters. My grandmother and my cousin who is now like a father to me, he is even my godfather too, they have taught us many things and it really shows how much they care about us. Although they have always taken care of us since we were born, since we used to live here, until we moved about 7 years ago, and now we are back.
Gracias a ellos estos años han sido maravillosos, y he estado muy feliz a pesar de todo, por eso para mi la familia es muy importante y también lo es compartir con ellos.
