Cuántas veces escuchamos decir que nuestra primera escuela es el hogar, y es algo muy cierto, ya que desde muy pequeños nuestros padres nos van enseñando cosas que en ese momento por nuestra corta edad desconocemos, nos van enseñando actitudes, comportamientos, valores como el respeto, responsabilidad, honestidad entre otros, ahora bien, luego de algunos años viene la etapa escolar, es donde un profesional en la docencia nos va enseñando a leer y escribir, que luego ese aprendizaje también es reforzado en nuestros hogares.
How many times we hear that our first school is the home, and it is very true, since from a very young age our parents teach us things that at that time because of our young age we do not know, they teach us attitudes, behaviors, values such as respect, responsibility, honesty and others, now, after a few years comes the school stage, where a professional teacher teaches us to read and write, and then that learning is also reinforced in our homes.
Pero a veces sucede que la poca atención en el hogar, o en la escuela, el estudiante no logra captar o simplemente no le da importancia a ciertas cosas que a simple vista no son importantes pero que en realidad si lo son y que un error en eso es bien complicado solucionarlo.
But sometimes it happens that the little attention at home or at school, the student fails to grasp or simply does not give importance to certain things that at first glance are not important but in reality they are and that an error in that is very complicated to solve it.
En mi época de estudiante de primaria no tuve ningún inconveniente desde primero a quinto grado, pero un día comenzando el sexto grado notaba que la maestra nombraba a una alumna con mi apellido pero yo no prestaba atención porque no era mi nombre, la maestra llamo varias veces y nada, hasta que finalmente nos dimos cuenta que yo era esa niña que nombraba la maestra, mi nombre en la lista no era el mismo que supuestamente yo tenía y por el cual todos amigos, familia, me conocían. La maestra me dejo bien claro que debía acostumbrarme a usar mi verdadero nombre, para ese momento todos me conocían como Sonia pero en realidad mi nombre era y es Sonidia, pues así es como aparece en mi partida de nacimiento y posteriormente en mi cédula de identidad, en ese momento lo veía horrible, no entendía porque una chica de 11 años aún no sabía su nombre, además, el nombre no era común era la única niña con ese nombre tan extraño para ese momento, sin embargo aún así comencé a aceptarlo aunque todos me llamaban Sonia y así es hasta el día de hoy, nadie sabía mi verdadero nombre, yo me encargue de usar mi verdadero nombre para no tener problemas a futuro.

The teacher made it very clear that I had to get used to using my real name, by that time everyone knew me as Sonia but in reality my name was and is Sonidia, because that is how it appears on my birth certificate and later on my identity card, at that time I saw it horrible, I did not understand why an 11 year old girl still did not know her name, Besides, the name was not common, I was the only girl with such a strange name at that time, however I still began to accept it even though everyone called me Sonia and so it is to this day, no one knew my real name, I took care to use my real name to avoid problems in the future.
Otro anécdota que estoy recordando es que mi madre falleció hace unos 10 años atrás y nunca supe cuál fue su verdadero nombre porque en todos los documentos tenía un nombre distinto, resulta que fue imposible verificar su nombre completo porque el registro civil dónde estaba esta información se había quemado, recuerdo que algunos de los nombres que le conocí fueron: Otilia. Natalia, Natilia, María Natilia, ella tuvo 8 hijos y en las 8 partidas de nacimientos mi madre tenía nombre distinto, que desastre.

Y siguiendo con este tema, uno de mis hermanos se casó y en su momento no se percataron que en el acta de matrimonio el novio no tenía el nombre escrito correctamente, recuerdo que mi cuñada murió y cuando el fue a realizar la documentación de los bienes se encontró con dos problemas: el primero que con su nombre correcto no estaba casado ni tenía bienes y el segundo, que el casado y dueño de los bienes era otra persona que no existe, se imaginan el problema legal que se armó?.

Hace poco tiempo comencé a dar clases de pregrado y comparando las listas de asistencias de los alumnos con la lista que me entrego la coordinación, note muchas irregularidades con algunos nombres y apellidos, la verdad no entendía que estaba sucediendo, me encontré muy confundida y decidí tomar cartas en el asunto porque se trataba de chicos egresados de la secundaria que van camino a prepararse como futuros profesionales y que no supieran escribir su nombre completo era inaceptable.

Un día decidí hablar con mis alumnos y preguntarles a cada uno por sus nombres y note que el problema una parte era por desconocimiento y la otra era por moda, por desconocimiento porque no sabían la importancia de escribir correctamente sus nombres y apellidos ellos les parecía normal la forma en como lo escribían y por otro lado por moda porque le quitaban una letra a según porque se veía más bonito, ejemplo: si la alumna se llamaba Estephany, ella lo escribía como Sthepany porque así segun ella se ve mejor, o se ve más bonito, otro ejemplo es si el alumno se llama Jesús Miguel, el en la lista de asistencia colocaba Miguel Jesús porque así le gustaba más, eso me dejó sorprendida, como era posible que hoy en día hay alumnos de 16, 17 y hasta 18 años que aún no saben escribir bien su nombre.

Entonces decidí explicarles la importancia de saber y escribir correctamente sus nombres y apellidos y los problemas que trae el uso incorrecto de ellos y más a nivel educativo se vuelve muy complicado y corregir ese tipo de errores sobre todo cuando de títulos universitarios se trata, les conté mi anécdota con mi nombre, y los motive para que escribieran sus nombres y apellidos correctamente por muy feo que sean, de esta forma se evitarán muchos inconvenientes.

Poco a poco los alumnos comenzaron a escribir de forma correcta sus nombres y el cambio se notaba en las asistencias, inclusive siempre me preguntaban si en la lista de la coordinación los nombres estaban bien escritos , eso me dió a entender que mi mensaje les llegó y no tendrán inconvenientes a futuro en este tema.
Little by little the students began to write their names correctly and the change was noticeable in the attendance, even they always asked me if in the list of the coordination the names were well written, that gave me to understand that my message reached them and they will not have problems in the future in this matter.
Bueno amigos antes se mantenía la excusa de que las personas no le daban importancia a sus nombres por la época, además que en su mayoría no llegaban a culminar sus estudios por trabajar, ajá, y me preguntó porque hoy en día se siguen cometiendo esos errores? Entonces pienso que no es una cuestión de épocas, es una cuestión de descuido, no préstamos atención a qué nuestros nombres y apellidos estén bien escritos.
Well, my friends, in the past there was the excuse that people did not give importance to their names because of the times, and also that most of them did not finish their studies because they worked, aha, and I wonder why nowadays these mistakes are still being made? Es importante en el hogar enseñarles a nuestros hijos el uso correcto de sus nombres y apellidos aunque se vea un tema bien sencillo, pues no lo es, es muy complicado corregir un nombre mal escrito en un título universitario, en cuanto al docente también es importante reforzar este tema entre sus alumnos porque no se sabe cuando se presentan estás situaciones en cualquier nivel.
It is important at home to teach our children the correct use of their names and surnames even if it seems a very simple subject, because it is not, it is very complicated to correct a misspelled name in a university degree, as for the teacher it is also important to reinforce this issue among their students because it is not known when these situations arise at any level.
El no escribir bien el nombre no es un problema de ignorancia, es un problema de descuido o desinterés de la persona, simplemente le da igual cosa que no debe ser así, debemos ser cuidadosos con nuestros nombres y apellidos, con tan solo un error en una letra de nuestro nombre es suficiente para desencadenar un sinnúmero de problemas que podemos evitar, así que amigos atentos cuando escribimos o firmamos algo asegurarnos que este correctamente escrito inclusive revisar bien los datos en los documentos, porque a veces no somos nosotros los equivocados pueden ser los que redactan los documentos que cometen esos errores, porque ya me ha pasado.

De igual forma es importante que los padres motiven a sus hijos a escribir bien sus nombres y apellidos, también es necesario que los docentes si notan esa deficiencia en sus alumnos, logren implementar estratégias para prevenir que esos errores sigan ocurriendo.
It is also important for parents to motivate their children to write their first and last names correctly, and for teachers, if they notice this deficiency in their students, to implement strategies to prevent these errors from occurring.
