Después de aproximadamente 8 años, el municipio Villa del Rosario, estado Zulia, Venezuela, realizó nuevamente unas ferias expocomercial y ganaderas. Desde que supe la noticia que en mi pueblo iban a hacer ferias, me emocioné con la idea y me ilusioné en ir. Tanto fue así que solo hablaba de eso, preguntaba a mis conocidos y familiares quienes irían porque yo estaba dispuesta a viajar para ir a la feria.
Cuando se acercaba la fecha, simplemente deseaba tener libre el fin de semana en el trabajo para poder viajar. Llamé a mis padres y les conté el deseo de querer ir, pero con ellos y mi novio, ese fue el acuerdo para viajar.
En mi trabajo no hubo actividades ese fin de semana y decidí emprender un viaje para visitar a mi familia y poder ir a la feria.
¿Qué se hace en la feria ganadera?
Se exponen vacas, todos y también los subastan. Entregan premios a la vaca más productora de leche, al toro que dé los mejores becerros, etc.
Llegó el día y viajé, llevé a mi novio conmigo; fuimos a disfrutar dos días distintos y a ver como se veía el ambiente de las ferias ganaderas después de tanto tiempo.
Al llegar al parque ferial, empezaron los recuerdos a invadir mi mente. Las veces que le dije a mi papá que quería montarme en una de las atracciones, las veces que le pedí un helado o un juguete, y hasta los momentos con mami, papi y mi hermano dentro de ese parque.
En el momento que me acerqué al ruedo, la primera canción que escuché fue «Venezuela», una canción llanera que nos identifica, parece el himno nacional. Da mucha nostalgia cuando la escuchamos en nuestro país, y qué hermoso es escucharla en un espacio que se había perdido y poco a poco lo han ido levantando nuevamente.
En medio del show, hubo un contrapunteo por parte de dos hombres que son amantes al folklore venezolano. La gente los admiraba y aplaudía porque hicieron una gran presentación, en medio de todo, la bandera de Venezuela se observaba en ese ruedo, todo fue bonito.
Después del show, me fui junto a mis padres y mi novio a ver la exhibición de las vacas y los toros. Les puedo asegurar que fue algo sorprendente más para mi novio que para nosotros, ya que conocemos la tierra. Pero el asombro se dio gracias al tamaño de esos animales que sin duda eran impresionantes; muy grandes.
Fuimos de hilera en hilera viendo cada uno de los becerros, vacas y toros. Hasta fotos nos tomamos.
Si hay algo que me gustó mucho fue asistir junto a mis padres, con ellos aprendí a amar mis raíces y de donde vengo. Un municipio en el que reina la ganadería y me hace orgullosa de eso.
Al caer la noche, simplemente cenamos, nos sentamos un rato y conversamos un poco, mientras observamos lo que había. Al terminar, nos fuimos satisfechos de haber visitado ese lugar después de tanto tiempo. Recuerdos, momentos y una infancia que viví. ¡INOLVIDABLE!

After about 8 years, the municipality of Villa del Rosario, Zulia state, Venezuela, held again a trade and livestock fair. Since I heard the news that they were going to hold fairs in my town, I got excited with the idea and I was excited to go. So much so that I only talked about it, I asked my acquaintances and relatives who would go because I was willing to travel to go to the fair.
As the date approached, I simply wished I had the weekend off from work so I could travel. I called my parents and told them about my desire to go, but with them and my boyfriend, that was the agreement to travel.
At work there were no activities that weekend and I decided to take a trip to visit my family and go to the fair.
What do you do at the cattle fair?
They exhibit cows, all of them, and they also auction them. They give prizes to the cow that produces the most milk, to the bull that gives the best calves, and so on.
The day arrived and I traveled, I took my boyfriend with me; we went to enjoy two different days and to see what the atmosphere of the cattle fairs was like after so long.
When we arrived at the fairgrounds, memories began to invade my mind. The times I told my dad I wanted to ride one of the attractions, the times I asked him for an ice cream or a toy, and even the moments with mommy, daddy and my brother inside that park.
The moment I approached the arena, the first song I heard was "Venezuela", a llanera song that identifies us, it seems like the national anthem. It is very nostalgic when we hear it in our country, and how beautiful it is to hear it in a space that had been lost and little by little they have been raising it again.
In the middle of the show, there was a counterpoint by two men who are lovers of Venezuelan folklore. People admired and applauded them because they made a great presentation, in the middle of everything, the Venezuelan flag could be seen in that arena, everything was beautiful.
After the show, I went with my parents and my boyfriend to see the exhibition of the cows and bulls. I can assure you that it was something amazing more for my boyfriend than for us, since we know the land. But the amazement was given thanks to the size of those animals that without a doubt were impressive; very big.
We went from row to row seeing each one of the calves, cows and bulls. We even took pictures.
If there is something that I really liked it was to attend with my parents, with them I learned to love my roots and where I come from. A municipality where livestock reigns and makes me proud of that.
At nightfall, we simply had dinner, sat for a while and talked a bit, while we observed what was there. When we finished, we left satisfied to have visited this place after such a long time. Memories, moments and a childhood I lived, UNFORGETTABLE!
