There is a right that we all enjoy as a human being, and one of them is the right to speech and freedom of the press.
It is a fundamental human right that allows everyone to speak without any form of oppression or threat. This fundamental human right gives power to the citizens to always criticize, and speak against the power if they observe any form of mismanagement, negligence, or misuse of power.
This fundamental human right is a constitutional right for the citizens of a particular country and it allows the citizens to participate in the activities of the government in their respective countries.
The right to freedom of speech and press should be respected by the authorities and individuals. It was a fundamental right that everyone was entitled to and this right must not be jeopardized by an individual.
The freedom of speech should not be limited to an individual, it is constitutionally backed up for individuals to have the right to freedom of speech and press.
The opinions of individuals must be respected and not be subjected to any form of threat. Every individual must be allowed to express themselves at all time and it will help to foster peace and unity in country.
Social media, as we all know has helped some people to have freedom of speech and this also should not be taken for granted in the way.
To avoid the misuse of freedom of speech and press on social media, the government must make a law to regulate the use of social media in the country so that people will be cautious about how they express themselves in other to maintain the peace of the nation.
Freedom of speech and rights to the press also serve as the watchdog exposing the activities of the government against corruption and the abuse of power, they help to ensure transparency and accountability in the government.
Freedom of speech and press will also help individuals to advocate for themselves stand against oppression by an individual or a group of people promote justice in the community and help to protect human rights.
Countries that allow freedom of speech and press usually enjoy stronger diplomatic ties and cooperation, as these values are seen as markers of openness, transparency, respect for human rights, and the progress of democracy in the country.
Freedom of speech and press plays a vital role in fostering sound democracies, driving progress, protecting human rights, and promoting social and economic development in the country.
The use of social media as freedom of speech and press should be allowed and it must not be jeopardized for peace and harmony to reign in the country.
Some of the times, the use of social media is usually compromised. The government, because of political influence may sponsor content they deem offensive to limit the ability of the users to express themselves freely on social media.
Some individuals or organizations may be banned from social media because of the way they claim their rights. The government can see the action as a threat to their administration.
