What would I tell my younger self? 🤔
Sooo I have done a whole load of shitty stuffs growing up that made the family not soo happy with me😕
One advice I would give my younger self would be “ Chidera, be patient, this life is not all about fast fast, slow and steady wins the race as well”
Some decisions I made then, when I was younger and naive, where decisions made in haste and without enough thought.
Soo, I would advice my younger self to take her time, no matter how long, to think about everything involved before making a decision on any matter.
Another advice I would like to give my younger self is “learn to guard your heart”, then when I was younger, I was always too trusting and too friendly. I always trusted and believed those who I called friends, because, I expected they would be just that ‘friends’ only for them to show me that they just wanted to get something from me.
I was always sad when a friend betrayed me, and, instead of me to learn from that experience, I would just accept another person with open hands as a friend again.
So I would tell my younger self to not be easily accessible, not be too trusting or even too friendly, as it could hurt her as well. I would also tell her to take her time making friends and watch the ones who call her friends closely to know the kind of person they are.
When it comes to the case of BOYS!!!
“Chidera, be patient, you will meet good guys in the future, even if you don’t end up with them, you will still meet good boys, don’t let your heart have a crush on any fine boy you see 🤦🏽♀️, not all of them have fine hearts as their faces are fine as well” this is what I would tell my younger self on this matter. A girl be having crushes soo easily like clockwork 😆🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
One other advice I would give my younger self is “work harder, on yourself, your studies and in general.
I was always soo easily distracted in school then and usually led to me not doing soo well at school. I know I’m not the brightest and I’m not a fast learner, but I know I could have done better back then in school. I would tell younger me “ try your very best at school, even in maths, if you don’t understand meet the teacher or your friends who do, to explain, no matter how many times they have to teach you for you to understand, do your best.
WELL DONE!!
Now, for this, if I could see my younger self, I would tell her weldone as well after telling her some things to change.
I would tell her “ Deraa, weldone on being a good friend to the friends you had and have, even if some friends don’t warrant your good heart, advice, love or care you show them, still, you did a good job, because at the end of the day you are with a clear conscience and even if not them, even if they don’t appreciate your friendship and kindness, God sees the good you do and will reward you at the end of the day.
Sooo, if I could go back in time and meet my younger self, I would give her a loooooong, soothing hug, because I know she definitely needed it at that point in time 😊☺️.

Babygirl, you have a heart of gold. I continually experience the effects of your pure heart and I am grateful to be your friend.
It's sad that the younger versions of ourselves go through a lot without the wisdom to tackle some circumstances but I guess that that is the essence of growing up. So that we make mistakes and learn from.
I think you've turned out just fine and cheers to many more years of learning and becoming better.
