Hey Hivers, I decided to join the community activity and write a poem. I hope you enjoy it
In a calm night, where shadows play,
Our hearts once beat, in love's sweet way.
Like whispers of the wind, our love did stray,
Through the passing of time, in endless array.
Your eyes, like sapphires, shone bright and blue,
Reflecting the depths, of my heart anew.
In a gentle spark, I saw a love so true,
A flame that shined so bright, with a warmth shining through.
Our love was a symphony, of laughter and of tears,
A delicate balance. That of joy and that of fear.
We danced beneath the stars, with steps so light and free,
Our love a divine melody, that echoed wild and free.
Unfortunately… like the autumn leaves, our love began to fade,
A slow and hurtful decline, blowing into the shades.
The winds of time and fate, they whispered secrets cold,
And our love's warm embers, began to grow old.
That was when all the pain started to unfold
I remember the nights, we'd lie awake and talk,
Our hearts beating as one, like a tender walk.
We'd share our deepest dreams..hoping they grow like a long bean stalk.
But now those nights are gone, and I'm left to face,
The darkness of a love, that has lost its sacred space.
The memories of our laughter, they haunt me like a stubborn fly,
A bittersweet reminder, of a love that said goodbye.
Oh, how I wish to turn, the clock's relentless hands,
To rewind the moments, of our love's fading stands.
But time, it waits for no one,
Yet I wonder if I could ever meet…like you, a special someone
The shadows of what's past, they linger on my mind,
A bittersweet nostalgia, for a love that's left behind.
Yet even in its absence, our love remains a guiding light,
A beacon in the darkness, that shines with a gentle might.
For though it's lost its warmth, its ashes still remain,
A reminder of the love, that we once shared in vain.
And so I'll hold on to, these memories of our past,
And cherish every moment. Our love did forever last.
For though it is but a memory, our love will always be,
A flame that burns brightly, in the depths of you and me.
Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed it.
Just a friendly reminder, we'll be discussing myopia later this evening.
Don't miss!
