Suffer now - Enjoy later

IMAGE IS MINE

I hope to build wealth and live on passive income this year. It is my greatest wish to be in full control of my time. Throughout December I have been touring while working simultaneously. I went from Port Harcourt down to Lagos. While it was fun, I seriously wish I was working remotely because I didn't want to come back from Lagos as soon as I did.

It's even more exhausting coming back on Saturday, doing church Sunday and then going to work today being monday. As I type this my body aches. I am sleepy, stressed out and exhausted but then a girl has to earn to survive..but I don't want to just survive I want to live. I love and appreciate my job wholeheartedly but if only things will fall in place for me and I get to achieve my laid down goals, maybe I'd actually start to live. I want more than anything to just be at home today, relaxed and crocheting the gift items I had promised my aunt. Unfortunately I could not do that. Sometimes I wish this could be easy, you know. Put in little effort and reap big. I know it's a possibility and that's what I aim for because I have worked too hard.

If there is one phrase I have always held on to is suffer now and enjoy later. I'm young, in my youth, got the whole energy and time so why not make the best out of it right? But then, as I grow older, as I age, I don't want to keep working this hard and this is exactly why I hope to build a passive income to enjoy my old age and catch up on all that I have missed out in my youth. I hope to achieve this by running on a time frame. I have basically placed time on all my activities and that's the only reason I do not get overwhelmed with all that I do.

Life without money is bleak for life is sweet when you have the means to your want. I remember when I first went to Lagos for a job interview I had put up with my Ex's friend at their family house in VGC. Waking up in that house, I used to always wonder how the occupant in that house would wake up for their 9-5 because in that house my introverted spirit was awakened and I swear if I'm an occupant, I will operate from the walls of that house. How about the room that they gave me? It's as big as a hall that can comfortably accommodate 100 guests. The bed was big as it was soft. The room? AC tight and the view from all four windows?? A soothing flowing river coloured blue just like the ocean. They do have a speed boat and I was told that it's for traffic or to beat time when running late.

For the duration of days that I stayed in that house, I knew I must make money. Not just to make money but operate a source of livelihood or income that will not deny me the time and peace of mind to enjoy the fruit of my labour.

ABOVE IS MY RESPONSE TO THE SECOND TOPIC OF THE HIVE NAIJA COMMUNITY PROMPT.

Don't Worry, we will get there soon

Amen! Thank you Mikey 🙂

@bipolar95 I can totally relate to your sentiments. It's really exhausting to be constantly on the go, and it's even more draining when you feel like you're just surviving instead of truly living. Your desire for financial freedom and passive income is inspiring, and I love your mindset of 'suffer now and enjoy later.' It's amazing that you're taking proactive steps to achieve your goals, like creating a schedule and prioritizing your time. Keep pushing forward, and I have no doubt you will reach your dreams of financial independence and being able to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

Thank you so much for your inspiring words 🥰🤗

Omoh. If I stayed in a place like that, I will also be motivated. There’s money to be made. We just have to find the right way to make them.

Thank you my dear, emphasis on the right way o because I will not make the money and finish then end up in jail 😂.

That's the thing. Money to be made and because of this, it gets difficult. Things will soon fall into place for you, dear.🌺

Thank you love 💖😘
