A lot is happening among the teenagers today, and it's disappointing that sometimes they neglect the lessons from their parents. Let's imagine a female child got impregnated while seeking admission into the university. What would be your next line of action as a parent?
Seriously, civilisation has turned our teenagers to something else. Our teenagers have lost it. If I most say see this topic, I have to sit and ask myself some questions: should we balm civilisation or the parent? I can remember when I was a teenager, I was so afraid of my parents. I am very careful of my actions. You will teenagers of these days post some crazy content online without fear; most of them don’t care of the scandal it will create.
It really pains me that teenagers don’t listen to their parents advice. They see their parents as an outdated generation; in other words, their parents don’t know the happenings. This teenager sees themselves as the Gen generation.
Whenever I go to the social and I see how astray teenagers are going, it always pains me. I was going through my TikTok handle when I see a 15-year-old girl proudly saying that she lives in her own apartment; she left her parents house at the age of 12. I was so surprised at this point that I don’t know if I should blame the parents or civilization. After coming across this post on TikTok, I have come to realise that some parents have failed to play their roles as parents.
My pastor will always tell us back then that the teenage stage is a very pressing stage and we should be careful of the things we do. Any wrong decision we make at that age may affect our life; if time is not taken, it will affect our future. It really pains me that teenagers are neglecting the advice and lessons from their parents.
As a parent, the news that my female child got impregnated while seeking admission will turn me off balance. It will be the greatest shock of my life. If I say I will be happy hearing the news, I will be the greatest lie of my time.
I will be so disappointed that a child of mine brought such a disgrace to my household. At this point, a lot of questions will run through my mind if I have failed as a mother. Why did my own child have to bring disgrace to my house?
Of course I am not happy that she is pregnant; sending her out of the house is not the best decision.
I know it hurt, but no matter how many times I think about it, the deed has been done. It will be the most challenging moment of my life, but I have to pick courage. She is still my daughter, and I still have to show her that mothering care.
I will call her and have a deep conversation with her. I will like to know what happened and who is the person who put her in a family way. I will try my best to be cool so that she can communicate with me freely and without fear.
Like I said before, the deed has been done. I will not turn my daughter away because she is pregnant. I will take care of her until she gives birth. Being pregnant will not stop her from going to school. Once her name is out for admission, she will go to school.
I will try my best to stand by her during the journey. I know it will not also be easy for her because someone in her peer group will still be bullying her.
There is this popular saying that experience is the best teacher; if that child has sense, she will advise herself.

Your approach to such a situation is commendable and really good of you. Teenagers these days especially girls are becoming something else and honestly our society isn't helping matters, I just pray it doesn't come to a serious matter. Nice post friend and wishing you all the best
