What a thrilling question this is! Though the money is huge, it is not really huge especially concerning the economy of my country.
If I was given the sum of thirty million naira (#30,000,000) to spend in a week, I would use part of the money for myself and use some parts to help others. Let's see how I plan to spend the money below….
Philanthropy
I will allocate 20% to some charity organizations. Like the orphanage, Red Cross, and less privileged homes. So that these organizations can use the funds to manage the affairs of the organization.
I know that these organizations do a lot in order to take care of human needs and they are also non-profit. So helping them out with some finances will go a long way in assisting them to meet their financial needs.
I will give out another 20% to assist rural education facilities. I know several states where the school buildings are bad and worn out. I will invest in getting them modern books and equipment needed for learning. I will also try to renovate some of the dilapidated structures to the best of my ability.
I saw a YouTube video a while ago about a particular government school that was in bad shape. The roofs were broken, the ground was also bad, there were no seats for the learner's and no window for protection. I felt really bad when I saw the state of that school in the video. I wished I could do a little bit to contribute to the welfare of the school.
I will allocate 30% to investment, especially in crypto. I will diversify the funds into different sectors like a mix of low-risk stocks, index funds or Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). I have always wanted to try forex trading, maybe I will try that out as well.
I will also invest in real estate and housing as it will provide me with a steady income stream. 20% of the money would go into this investment. Land appreciates with time and the reward for land is rent. So if I have landed properties and lease it out, I am certain to get rent from the tenants.
My personal expenses will take up the remaining 10%. I will go on luxury vacations to beautiful places, exploring exotic destinations and also experiencing unique activities.
I will get some personal items for myself. I will get things like rare or custom items like jewelry, art, or limited- edition collectibles.
I will go on an adventure while I'm on vacation like skydiving, sea diving and sports. I will also set aside money for family issues and unforeseen circumstances because life is full of uncertainty.
Spending $19,000 (30,000,000) in a week is something I would love to do because it will give me the opportunity to live a soft life for once in my life. After doing all the necessary things that are important, I will relax and say to myself “enjoy life now while it lasts”.
