Holiday is what everyone likes and is truly a time of refreshing. No matter how workaholic you might be it's expedient that one have some time to rest and get refreshed. Holiday normally plays significant role in everyone's life.
The significance of holiday has led to the educational management in enshrining this into the curriculum to be part of the child's development. There are different kind of holiday depending on what necessitate such holiday. All I know is that holiday really does a lot of positive impact to both children and parents as well.
Imagine a world without holiday how would it be? Imagine schools without holiday how would it be? Holidays are moment especially for students to recoup or get reimbursed over what they have lost and also to offer assistance to parents in order to boost their productivity. Recently I met one of my boys that is 400 level studying veterinary medicine. I asked him now that you are done with your second semester exams, what are your plays and what strategies do you have in place for this long holiday you have? You started mentioning them...this was amazing and great idea. I was so excited with his plans because at least by the end of the holiday, he would have worked and end certain percentage of money to augment whatever his parents would give when he is returning to school.
I am a citizen of Nigeria. Ever since I was growing up,I noticed that most Nigerians like holidays no matter how little it might be. For instance just waking up this morning just heard that there's no school today. There wasn't any prior notice to this effect oooo. The state government just declared it as holiday because of the local government elections which would hold tomorrow.
If I am left alone to invent my own holiday, Wow it's gonna be a great moment out there. The new holiday I would introduce is what I called free feeding day. I have never seen a day which the government declared that people should come and collect free food holiday. To me this would be timely owing to the fact presently in Nigeria the rate of hunger is just on the increase. There is hardship everywhere and people barely feed on at least two meals a day.
I think if this kind of holiday is declared, everyone in the country would celebrate because is an opportunity to settle what I called the stomach infrastructure need.
How would free feeding day be celebrated?
This novel holiday will be celebrated once in a month. Every last Monday of the month will be holiday. Everyone would be expected to show act of benevolence to neighbours and other friends around. Any kind of food you have kindly share it that day.
In other words, it could be called love feast. I think this would help to put smiles on the less privileged ones. This would also help to manage the indifference between the social status in the society. This will also foster unity. Free feeding day is a day everyone is expected to show love by sharing food freely. I think this would be accepted and celebrated by many in Nigeria.
Thanks so much for reading through my entry for day 1 of #novemberinleo

I am not sure there is a single person in this world hardworking to the extent of not liking holidays. The body needs some rest. I like your idea of free feeding day but I am concerned if it is actually feasible, considering your country's population. Some people can eat like donkeys😂
Thanks
