Good morning, Hivenaija community. its another beautiful week for us to wake up and get on the road for our daily 2K. I am excited about this week because of the new prompt topic. As soon as I read the prompt post and saw the two topics we were to pick from, I smiled because one of the trending songs in Nigeria popped into my head immediately.

"Money" is a song by Teni, a Nigerian musician. The first line of the song says, "Money."
"Money don't buy you happiness
Money can't buy you love
Money can't fill this emptiness
But I want all the money in the world"
The prompt topic I will write on today says
Money can't buy happiness but we do have things we buy with money that make us feel happy. How about sharing with us one thing you're guilty of overspending on? Or about a time you bought something to impress someone else (for their happiness).
A wise man once said "Money doesn't give happiness, but I can only say that when I had enough"
Money can't buy happiness, but it can certainly bring happiness, especially when someone lacks enough of it. The only people who can confidently claim that money doesn't buy happiness are those who have enough to not worry about their finances. When they face sadness or difficult situations that money can't resolve, then they truly understand that money can't buy happiness.
In my country, many people are angry due to their circumstances. However, if someone were to give them a few million, I assure you their anger would disappear almost instantly. If you think I’m lying, give me a few million and see my anger fade away.
There was a time when my girl was using an iPhone 6, the phone was bad. The charging pot was shaking, some part of the screen wasn't working and the home button wasn't working so she had to download an application to help her with that. Sometimes when her phone rings, it goes blank so she won't be able to pick up the call until the phone is done ringing.
Most time when I see her, she is always angry especially when her phone rings. Now I understand why she always hiss when she picks up the call. I know how frustrating it can be to have a phone that gives you stress apart from everyday stress.
One day, I told her we were going out on a date. She got all dressed and we set out, she's always happy to go out with me. I could see her smiling, I took her to the phone store. She thought I wanted to ask for a phone price because I have always said I wanted to know the price of the next phone I wanted to get. She has been saving for her phone but the money wasn't enough, besides she wasn't expecting me to buy a phone for her.
I met with the salesperson collected a new iPhone, a better one, made the payment, and handed the phone to her. "This is your new phone"
I haven't seen her so happy before. Hehehehe. She was shocked, her expression was amazing and I felt like a King. But things got embarrassing when she started dancing and then knelt down to say "Thank You" I just wanted to disappear at that moment because I was so embarrassed and happy.
Funny how I was so happy too.
In conclusion, we really can't say money can buy happiness but money certainly can buy a lot of things that can make us happy. This is why I will conclude this blog with a thought that came to my head just now.
