The Truth That Turned Out To Be A Lie.

in Hive Naija2 days ago

I grew up in a home where we were taught that it pays to be good no matter what's happening around you. "If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn the other part for them to slap it." This is a rule I live by; there is nothing wrong with being the nicest person on earth, but the world we live in changes so fast the more I get older.

There is this misconception I had because of the kind of words I heard my parents tell me everything.

"Bad people will die and good people live longer."

Because of this notion that I had, I did my best to become the best person I could be, which has helped me a lot, but one truth I discovered while growing up is that "Death is no respecter of any man, be you good or bad."

The more I grow, the more I see good people get punished for what they did not, and the bad people live longer. I always believe that once you do something terrible to humanity, your days are numbered, but those same bad people then live longer to commit more atrocities. So what is the death ripper doing? Watching all these bad people hurt more people and get away with it.

It was at that point I stopped believing that "bad people will die and good people will live long." The truth is that good people will live longer and bad people will die, but I think my parents were talking about the religious part of things and not physical or based on reality. Death is something that walks into everyone's life, be it good or bad, but sometimes I feel like it prefers to take the good ones so they don't turn bad. Also, because of this notion I grew up with, I believe strongly in "Karma," but not any longer. Personally, I don't think Karma works.

Everything happening in our lives is all by choice and the decisions we make. If a person is bad today and decides to turn a new leaf, living in the best possible way, having a good family, and having a prosperous life, then die. Can we say his death was Karma? I used to do kind karma works, but the little time I have spent on earth has proven to me countless times that there is nothing like karma and everything happening is based on the action we take.

Is it right to pay evil for evil? No, we are no judges, so the best I can see is to leave it all in the universe or God's hand and continue being a good person. The best we can do is be a good and kind person, because that will reduce the number of scum we have in the world.

In conclusion.

Do bad people die after doing something bad? No, people die regardless of whether they are bad or good. We just have to be good humans and leave a good legacy before death comes knocking on our door.

Does karma work? No. Everything happening around us is based on the choices and decisions we make. So do what you have to do.

Thanks for reading.

that's true my man

Death is no respecter of persons, whether you're a good or a bad person.
Meanwhile, the Universe usually doesn't give bad people of their poison, but who are we to be the presiding judge over that?

Very true
Who are we to judge
We have no power than to allow fate play its part

Fact realization! It's a sad one but one that we all have to live with. Death can come to just anyone, even God won't stop it once it's time.

It comes to anyone
With no respect of age, sex, personality, anything.

"Bad people will die and good people live longer."

First thing that came to my mind when I read this was omooooorr😂😂. I see it the other way, good people live longer in the sense that even after death, their deeds will forever be remembered. Karma doesn't work, I don't believe in it.

Yeah
That’s one way to put it
There did continue to live after they are dead and for Karma
Let’s leave that part 🌚
