Over the years, my dream job has changed for different reasons and it's looks like I have finally concluded on something I foresee myself getting successful with in the next few years. I started this particular profession a few years ago, and it was something I never pictured myself doing even though I had little interest in it while growing up.
It was definitely not a profession big dreamers had back then, and even if someone had told me a prophecy regarding this profession, I wouldn't have believed or taken it seriously, but while I was going about trying to establish myself in a different field, life was preparing something else for me.
As kids, many of us had lots of dreams about the future and while some could chase those dreams successfully, there were those who couldn't because of financial setbacks. Unfortunately, our parents couldn't fund those dreams, and we had to dream over and over again until we were able to make a difference for ourselves.
My dreams started with becoming a footballer since I was addicted to football as a kid. It was life for me, and the football pitch was where I could express myself better. Seeing people applaud me after scoring goals fueled the dream, but there was no promising opportunity for me.
When kids registered for professional training, I couldn't. Buying a pair of boots wasn't easy, but the passion was there till I sustained an injury that ended it all. The injury cost me a football trial I was looking forward to, and I eventually gave up.
I picked up interest in aviation and flying a plane became another big dream for me. Several times, I imagined myself up there but it never happened because enrolling for aviation in Nigeria isn't a joke. Joining the Air Force gave me hope, and I pursued it but didn't have the right connection; sadly, I had to give up again. Life went on and I kept dreaming hoping that something worked out someday.
If it were to be that humans pay for every dream they had, I would be a debtor by now, but something unfortunate happened, and it ended up as a blessing for me.
I lost my job and life eventually led me into fish farming. At first, it wasn't a big deal, but I eventually fell in love with it, and at the moment, I am dreaming beyond just rearing fish. I look forward to including a few birds for a start and someday, I can own acres of land where people can get beef, pork, chicken, turkey, fish and other animals you can think of consuming.
I have a few role models in the field already that have a huge processing farm for animals, plus they are exporters as well. I see myself going places with my dream job, and being persistent with God on my side will definitely help me bring these dreams to reality.
Like I mentioned earlier, if someone had told me that this was the future, I wouldn't have believed it. If you ask around today, only one out of a thousand kids will confidently choose to be a farmer.
Just like me, we all wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, and others because we thought those professions had the best pay. I don't disagree, but being a farmer is more rewarding, plus they are the future billionaires. Without farmers, the nation will be thrown into chaos when there is a limited supply of food, so it is enough to tell how important the profession is to society.
In conclusion, I am happy to have learned and experienced the joy of being a farmer. It hasn't been easy but despite the challenges and struggles, I don't have any reason to back out because those rough paths keep making me stronger. I am looking forward and working hard towards bringing all my dreams in this field to reality.

Life works in mysterious ways, and it quite surprising how we sometimes ended up in profession we can't imagine ourselves in, but like you said, what matters now is improving in it and making the most of it to our advantage.
It still beats down to how life can be really unpredictable and if we were opportune to see the future, many of us would have started this profession quite early.
It's all good though, concentrating on growth now is what matters.
Such is life, we all wanted to be something else at some point, I'm glad you are finding joy in your current field, that's all that matters.
Thanks buddy! Yes I am happy and this path because it has really helped me. Trust you are doing great as well, have a great night rest.
We sometimes just don't end up doing what we we always have the dreams of doing in the future that is just life! I have actually loved everything about animals since I was a kid and I even tried taking care of dogs and chickens while I was still in the secondary school and because of that I had this dream of becoming anything that has to deal with what I love doing and here I am studying Animal Science. Who knows I might end up doing another thing in the future.
Wow! That's awesome, animal science is great but we truly don't know what the future holds and I pray you find happiness in whatever the future has in store for you.
Amen. Thanks so much sir. I also wish you increased sale and more income in your fishery business.
Amen brother, thanks for the wishes.
You are welcome.
Farming might not be an easy task , but it's always worth it
