The Evolution of a Dream

So many professions I wanted to become when I grow up, I bet I am not the only one on this table, now some of us are grown, tried out different things, some have found their path and others still finding it because one thing is sure, learning never ends, and we discover our selves each day we grow, there are so many things we can do now that we never even never imagined to get involved with not even in our wildest dreams.

As a child, I wanted to be an actress, and even acted in roles during playtime with my friends, It was a fun thing to do for me, and particularly I loved the princess roles, maybe because it was their unique fashion sense, all of which attracted me, as I grew older and wiser into my teen, then it changed to wanting to be a doctor, because my teacher said so every time she praised my brilliance in my academics, and even urged me to be join the science department in my school, I imagined myself being a doctor, it is indeed a good and noble profession, saving lives, and that was how my dream profession changed again

I tried getting admission into the university for Medicine and surgery so I could pursue this profession, but the Nigerian educational system being how it is, I had to result to Biochemistry after several trials, still, am I in the medical field today? Absolutely not, why because I realized, that although I am good in the theoretical aspect, I didn't have the stomach for the practical aspect, I only thought I liked being a doctor because others wanted me to be so.

Today, I am more experienced and have discovered myself to some extent to know what I want and like, I love being creative, I like any that involves critical thinking, and I prefer to work with myself and whatever I'm being creative with, myself and my thoughts working toward providing a solution, maybe it's the bit of my introverted nature and I found solace in Fashion Designing, If someone had told me I would become passionate about this profession one day, of course, I would laugh out loud in disbelieve, but here I am today, finding joy in this creative niche.

As I stated before, learning never stops, and we keep unfolding new chapters of our creative selves each passing day, I did not only work, but also learn and grow towards becoming a fashion designer and dwelled there, fashion is so broad these days that you can't cover all its niche, with AI and other advance technologies in place, creating designs these days with the human unending mind pool of knowledge, assisted with technology through fashion illustration, fashion aid tools/apps and a lot more, I discovered a niche I hope to become an expert in the nearest future, and this made me pursue a second degree in Computer Science, it wasn't shocking to my family and friends when I told them about my desire pursue this dream, because they know how insatiable I am with gaining knowledge and self-improvement, so yea, I can sew, I can design, even have a growing brand named 'Glori Clothing', yet, I'm still on the path of fulfilling my dreams.

We all had dreams that never came to reality and what matters is finding happiness in whatever we are doing today.
