Hello guys,

Welcome to yet another update on Fantasy football. We will be going over some of the highlights of Gameweek 2 in the English Premier League and how they impacted our FPL teams. We will also review some of the matches for gameweek 3 which starts in a few hours and the stat profile of some FPL assets to give us an overview of what to expect this week.

GAME WEEK 2 HIGHLIGHTS

Last week was frustrating for most FPL managers as major team assets were unable to get decent points. Haaland, Sallah and Saka who were captained by 7.3 million teams failed to hit double digits this week. The average point per team was capped at 46, a 20-point differential from the previous week.

There was also the case of prominent FPL assets not starting in gameweek 2 either because of injury issues or squad rotation. It is becoming increasingly important to have a decent bench for your FPL team to cushion players inavailability.

Despite the poor outcome of gameweek 2, ThomasTheFrankEngine was able to bag a whopping 120 points making it the number one ranked team in gameweek 2. In terms of players performance, Mbeumo of Brentford had the highest point (16) for game week 2, followed by March (15) and Bailey (14). Below are the players who made the FPL team of the week:

HIVE-NAIJA LEAGUE

At the end of gameweek 2 Hot Snow took the lead with 156 points in total. In second place we have 스퀘어 캡츠 with 147points and valchiz fc comes third with 145 points. The differentials between the top 10 teams are not significant, so there is still a lot to compete for in the coming weeks. We might see a new table leader by the end of week 3, so keep your fingers crossed. Here is a list of the top 10 teams in the Hive-Naija League:

GAMEWEEK REVIEW AND UPDATE

For gameweek 3, Mbeumo is the most transferred player with over 950,000 managers bringing the Brentford attacker into their team. Another Brentford player by the name Wissa comes in second with over 690,000 transfers. Stones is the most transferred-out player for week game 3 due to injury issues. James comes second on the list. He also sustained an injury during the week and will be out of action for some time.

Haaland still stands as the most captained player for gameweek 3. However, with Kevin De Bruyne out due to injury the Norwegian's chances of getting decent balls are limited. Manchester City visits Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United and many FPL manager are banking on Haaland to scores in this fixture.

Salah, Mitoma and Saka are alternative captain options for gameweek 3 with decent fixtures. Who would be your captain for gameweek 3? share with us in the comment section.

Joao Pedro and Barnes did be bad last Gameweek. Both didn't start, were subbed in after the 60th mins or so and got a yellow few mins for coming on. My total point haul was embarrassing 🤣, hopefully Gameweek 3 will be better

Are we to reply the correct score in the comment section or where

yes please.

Arsenal 3-1 Fulham
