It was probably the first time I've heard anything like that, altho i didn't have a phone then but I would giggled and seat there watching my seniors chatting and laughing out loud, I was wandering if this was same as a text messaging, but no this was much cooler, cause you could see like a person's profile and their picture and you chat for many hours without consuming much data or airtime.
Then there are rooms or general chatting group were you could go in and have fun chatting with others, these rooms or groups are like different groups of interest and topics and the fun part you can add some there or rather send them a request if they accept you can now chat them personally on your DM.

Who's missing the era of #2GO 😄, even tho Facebook had earlier existed, this new social messaging App came like a new phase of something we haven't seen or heard of, the App became so Rampant i'm sure almost everybody jumped on it, yah, it was very seamless and anyone could install the App on their nokia C2 or simbian phones or any button phone with internet access.

The first Time i did, i tried to create an account then the system came up with a username that eventually became my nickname #Samora1000, 😄, my friends then would always hail me with my username and it was a fun time.
I connected with some of my friends then someone could just walk up to you and ask you ask you your 2go username, this practice was very popular in my secobdary school days when the App came up, so i made a lot of friends both on the App from different rooms met new people from the app.
I recall one time a friend of mine met his friend and even had to travel far distance to go meet her, more or less like a dating app, people meet up became real life friends, had relationships.
I really miss the popular days of 2GO, like for real, 2go was fun, if i could wish for anything i would wish that 2go returns, its not like tiday were we have WhatsApp, messenger, Telegram, facebook, X, Instagram and the rest of it, 2go was different.
Back then i would spend all night chatting with someone till 2am. Or far beyond that, collected numbers, it was an app that connected everyone, then it was the first App to allow social messaging and everyone embrace it, before others began to copy the concept so we have messenger amd whatsApp.
I feel 2Go began to fade out when Android phones actually became rampant, you know like an upgrade, i recall when i bought my first Android smartphone, i tried downloading 2GO back, i don't know if i forgot my password and tried to recover it but couldn't, i really miss those days and i wish it could come back. 😄

I miss those good old days too, less data consumption but a lot more fun connecting 😍
