As much as we love some kind of food and wouldn’t hesitate to eat them in a heartbeat, sometimes situations and circumstances can get in the way of us eating this precious food, and in no time, the gap between when we ate this particular food and when we want to eat them again becomes so far and we can’t help but wonder how we got to that point.
The one food that I haven’t eaten in a long time and would want to eat right now is my traditional soup. The name of this soup is Fresh fish soup popularly called Fisherman soup by a lot of people and yes there’s a backstory to the name “Fisherman Soup”.
This wonderful soup is called fisherman soup because the major ingredients used in the preparation of the soup are mainly obtained from the river by a fisherman. The name also stems from fishermen gathering together to cook with some of their catch of the day. As funny as the name sounds I think the backstory makes a lot of sense.
While I love to eat a lot of food without being picky I wish I could eat Fresh Fish soup anytime I want without needing to travel to my state of birth or needing to break the bank because the ingredients for this soup are quite expensive over here.
Fisherman soup is rich and very easy to make, one just has to be very careful while stirring it so the fish doesn't get scattered.
I am from the riverine part of my country hence the vast availability of fresh seafood at our disposal. We have so many fishermen who go fishing almost every day and sell the seafood produce in the market making it easy to lay your hands on these fresh ingredients whenever you want but it’s a different ball game over here.
Moving to my present city of residence I do not have access to all the ingredients used in the preparation of this soup and even if I do, they are so expensive. As a result of this, I haven't had fisherman soup for a while now and I miss it so much and would love to eat it again.
I love the Fisherman soup so much that back then in my state I didn't hesitate to make it or eat it whenever I craved it. It was my go-to soup whenever I craved something fresh and still nutritious and trust me it never disappoints me.
The nutritional value of fisherman's soup is numerous, and cannot be over-emphasized. It is a must-eat for everyone who wishes to savor the goodness of it.
I really wish I could get all these ingredients at my fingertips whenever I want and also at an affordable rate, it would be awesome.

I haven't tried it before but it looks so good, placed side by side with garri. One food I haven't eaten in a while is Pepper soup. I can't wait to get back to it please. I miss it, just like you miss fisherman soup. Or even more sef

Oh, I want to try this! So, if I ever visit, you need to cook this for me 😂 I also have one special food I love to eat that my grandmother always cooked for us, and she gave me her recipes, which is also something like soup. Sweet cabbage soup. But they also don't have all of the ingredients here 😔 and when I bought ingredients in Slovenia for me to cook, it was not as good as my grandmother made it. I need to call her and tell her that the next time I visiting, she will be watching closely, and I will cook 😂
fisherman soup here in Russia is called "ukha".
we cook it with fish, potato and veggies;)
