Parents are the well-wishers of children, and they always try their best to keep their children in the best facility and try to ensure a better and more comfortable life for the children. If there is anyone to do something for us without any selfish motive, then it must be the parents.
Parents are those people who don't hesitate to sacrifice their own desire for our happiness, and they're the ones who are ready to sacrifice their lives to protect us. Except for parents, it's very difficult for others. So naturally, when they make decisions for us, then their intention is good, and I never doubt it. Is their every decision good for us? Should they be allowed to make decisions about our careers or choices?
Naturally, they are more experienced compared to us, and they also know us better. Since childhood, most of the decisions for us were taken by them. As a child, I think we are not worthy to make decisions for ourselves because, at that time, we are not well aware of the situation and our understanding is not mature enough to make decisions for ourselves. So I think in the time of childhood it's good that they make decisions for us.
When it comes to a career, most of our parents want to see us as doctors and engineers. They want that because those are secure professions. Having the expectation from children is not wrong, but I think it should not be imposed on children. Every child is not the same, and everyone's capability for study is also different. So, everyone is not interested in being a doctor or engineer. I don't see anything wrong in searching for different career paths. I know that money is very important, but children are not money machines.
Parents can guide their children by giving them information about different kinds of careers. They can show the advantages and disadvantages. They can recommend a career also for their children, but I think that the final decision should be taken based on their children's opinion because it is the life of the children, and they should be allowed to choose any career based on preference. If children are not interested in any career, then I think it's not good to force them because maybe at the end of their life, children feel burdened for it. At some point in their lives, they may blame parents for making the decision of career, and in that case, I think it's reasonable to blame parents.
I think parents are not allowed to make every decision in life for their children because even if they are children, they are individuals also, and each individual has different opinions. Parents make decisions for their children, thinking about something good, but it's not necessary that the outcome of the decisions will be good all the time. Besides, I don't think parents should be allowed to force a child to choose a career that they think is good for children. I think children are not robots, and they should have the freedom to choose how to spend their lives and what kind of career they want. In that case, I think parents should play guiding roles only.

Awesome job @intishar 👍
I agree with you, parents should not interfere with their children's decisions, especially with career paths. Guiding them and providing suggestions are okay.
