Details of my personality

For me, I have always believed I possess both personalities. Looking back over the years, there were phases when I was really “outside.” Jumping from one event to another, mingling with friends, visiting, partying, and clubbing—it was a good time, and I was never in lack. If you had seen me in any of those clubs back then, I was truly the life of the party, often driving the energy for my friends.

It wasn’t that I was faking who I really was; I had simply learned to take life as it came. Those were the days of my youth, full of life—not that I’m not full of life now, but back then, things weren’t so serious. I didn’t have much to dwell on.

It was during my undergraduate years, and I wanted to enjoy it because those years couldn’t be repeated. Looking back now, I can say I really did enjoy it. Those were the days when my extroverted side reigned. It was full-fledged, unprecedented, and uncaged. While I thought being an introvert seemed cool at the time, I often felt many were faking it because I couldn’t understand or relate to introverted personalities.

These days, you’ll mostly find me in my room—reading, thinking, writing, or working—rather than outside. For a couple of years now, I’ve withdrawn into my “cage.” I’ve realized there’s so much to learn so I can give back to society. It took me a lot to discover this, as it wasn’t who I was before.

Not only that, the passing years have taken me through routes that made me isolate more, study the world as an oyster, and discover myself—who I am and how I fit into the pieces of this world.

Would I say that’s my reason for being more introverted now? Well, that can’t be all. My recent activities have contributed to turning me inward.

I love reading a lot of books—I can’t get enough of them. My interests range from psychology and human behavior to fiction, self-development, and more. I’m fascinated by the idea that I can see and understand the world from my room through books. Reading has helped me understand humans and my environment better. It has also increased my knowledge and put me in a better position to help myself and those around me.

Another activity I enjoy is writing. Writing helps me gather my thoughts and deepen my understanding of different subjects. It’s one of my indoor activities that keeps me occupied for long periods. I often post my thoughts on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms. This gives me the opportunity to discuss with like-minded people who resonate with my thought process and the subjects I love. This has become my way of networking and connecting with others.
