I'm not a fan of reading, but I gotta do it anyway. I read mostly fiction, romance novels, mafian novels, billionaires, and the like.
When I was in college, I visualized reading just to pass my exams, so I had to train my mind, and that was how I survived and passed on my papers.
I will say I'm kind of lucky to lay my hands on some kind of motivational book. I read a book titled “Think like a lady, act like a man.”Its version acted like a movie, but the book got me glued to my screen. I had it on PDF on my devices, and I learned a lot from it.
I got my hands on hard copies like “Rich Dad and Poor Dad.”
I can tell you I started reading early this year, like making it a habit with no intention of just making a pass on my papers. I began reading to improve myself, my mindset, and every little bit of detail about me, and I could vividly tell you that there are little, tiny details left behind that are actually worth a fortune. What actually brought me to read?
I happened to pay for a video editing course with the intention of having a digital skill that sells, and the first introduction my coach did was to send fleets of books. There were approximately 20 of them. In my mind, that wasn't what I paid for; why give me otherwise? Just like every other person, just like me, I skipped each book to the main deal, which is the video editing course. It came later on after one week of my coach sending them.
As he taught, I was practicing on my own end. Something happened; I wasn't balancing my timing. So many circumstances caused so many things, and I began to justify my actions. Procrastination sets in. To submit my assignment, I have to wait till the deadline. I was losing focus; I could feel it.
To get my guilty mind off, I picked a book to read. The first I picked was “Mini Habits” by Stephen Guise.
The book talked about dividing your daily tasks into tiny units you could actually achieve in a day. Let's say you need to write 10,000 words instead of fashioning a day to write them, which can make your brain vague. Why not divide it into tiny units like writing 2000 words each day, and slowly it turns into a habit?
It's hard to formulate good habits, but it is easy to get the bad habits rolling. I was actually piling up my assignment, and slowly it became so vague. Thinking about it feels like a heavy task to me, so instead I procrastinate it, and it keeps lingering. So what did I do? I took a deep breath and began doing my tasks bit by bit, one at a time, and slowly I finished it up.
The next book I read was “Miracle Morning” by Hal Elrod. If only I could wake up one morning being happier, healthier, and financially free. If wishes actually come through, a lot of us want this: a happy family, a healthy one with all our dreams coming through, but just a few are willing to work towards it. Rome wasn't built in a day; it took lots of consistency, dedication, and persistence to achieve every one of our goals.
Most of us are good with the peanuts we get as salary, while some work to be better in their finances. Some are comfortable and average, but few are the rich ones.
Hal aligned six simple rules for personal development, a powerful tool for a life-changing daily practice.
S.A.V.E.R.S
S means silence.
A means affirmation.
V means visualization.
E means exercise.
R means reading.
S means scribing.
I took the R personality; reading has shaped a part of me; I get not just knowledge but improvement in every step of life, both health, spirituality, finance, mindset, and lots more.

This book is one of Steve Harvey's best-selling books.
I gave it a read last year and I got lot to take home.
He also produced a movie that gave a synopsis of the book,
you should give it a watch too.
