Growing up, unlike most kids, I was never a fan of cookies. When others begged their parents for money to buy cookies, I simply preferred other things. This remained the case until I got to high school. Although I bought cookies for others on their birthdays, I seldom got them for myself. Looking back, I always tried my best to remember my friends’ birthday and make it special for them, and the best way to do this was to get them cookies; the crunchy and creamy types that made your taste buds dance. Although I ate cookies once in a while, I was never a fan of them. That was until I met the game-changer – the cookie that changed everything.
Who would have thought I, who was never a fan of cookies, would fall in love with one- a special type? I did not only fall in love with it, I got addicted to it. I know addiction is a strong word, but it is the almost-right word to use in this context. I got introduced to Fab, I fell in love with it, got addicted, and needed help trying to get out of it. I remember the first time I ate the cookies. I hadn’t eaten all day. I woke up very early that morning and went to school. I got back in the evening and my stomach was crying for food. I couldn’t wait to prepare a meal, so I went to the store to buy snacks. Lo and behold, I saw cookies from afar. What attracted me to it was the nice packaging. I think the color purple used to design the wrapping made it more attractive.
I picked it up and saw that it had a chocolate flavor. I prefer chocolate flavor over other flavors. So, that was also a plus. I bought it and a drink and went back to my room. Moment of truth! As usual, I turned on my phone to watch a movie while I snack on the cookies. I knew I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out not to be good, but the first bite erased all doubts. The first bite changed it all. I placed it between my upper and lower teeth, and with a little pressure, I squashed it in two. It fell onto my tongue, and my tongue got a taste of a heavenly delight. It was as if my taste buds had been waiting their whole lives for this singular moment. I tossed it from one corner of my mouth to the other, and then after a satisfied sigh, I swallowed it and let it slip down. The first bite changed it all- I was hooked for a long time, chained and tangled by the cookie's delicious charm.
The second bite was just as good as the first. Same with the third, and all others that came after. Before I knew it, fab had become my favorite. I couldn’t go a day without eating it. I remember the one time I spent my last cash on this cookie. I thought I would go a day without eating Fab. Luckily and surprisingly, I came only to tell my friends on Discord about how I was craving this biscuit and a beautiful soul offered to buy them for me. That day, I didn’t eat a real meal throughout, I ate fab the whole day.
I was obsessed with these cookies. They go so well with a chilled yogurt or Fanta. While my friends claim they also go well with Coke, I'm a bit skeptical about that combination since I'm not a fan of Coke myself. Maybe one day I'll give it a try, but for now, I’m still taking a break from Fab.
This is my entry to the INLEO prompts for day 10. The topic is: Your favorite cookies.

My bro fab is literally one of a kind. But me I don't really like eating it to much because its actually a bit expensive and sometimes I don't go for it because it's very sweet.
Wow that's a Boom 💥
I thought I was the only that love fab. I can vividly remember the day I used my last cash to purchase two fab and I was feeling fulfilled, hehehe..
