This is really deep and valid. You know, over the years, I used to enjoy arguments. Smart ones and sometimes it would get heated. However, I have come to realize that no one likes a smarty pants and if you want to win anyone over, the first step is to agree to their viewpoints or at least, pretend to.

Indeed no one wants their points dismissed. My Dad always said "agree with what people have told you and show no defiance but do what you know is right"
