We implore everyone to participate in this self-reflection and hope to cultivate it as part of the daily lives of every mature citizen and be passed on to the younger generation."
Imagine if the above false breaking news was true. How will you feel? Do you think it is something worth implementing in your country? I think it will be quite interesting to observe. Especially in an era when everyone is busily chasing the paper with all their energy.
Holidays are an essential aspect of life and I am yet to see that person who does not like holidays. A holiday is limited to something observed by a country or a religion. It could be a personal, family, friends, community, etc. holiday. They are days that we reserve for special purposes. I can personally reserve a day for myself for a special purpose and in this case, the day has turned into a holiday for me.
Why self-reflection day?
Every adult in their right sense knows that self-reflection is very essential in life. The problem is that not everyone practices it. So when a day is set aside for this purpose, it will serve as a form of awareness. As people take a break from the daily pressures, they can use that as an opportunity to reflect on their lives, their family, the nation, and humanity as well. This will lead people to realize their sense of purpose, improved personal growth, and better decision-making.
Activities on Self-Reflection Day.
The title of the holiday speaks a lot about the activities that will be held on the day self reflection. Individuals can share journals they had within the year with their friends and family. It should be a day free of social media and families can further share their goals, aspirations, and challenges last but not least, awards can be given to those who have accomplished certain levels of goals they set the previous year.
What do you think of my proposal? Do you think it is achievable? Me, I will be happy to hear about a holiday like that, it is something that I believe will lead to something big in terms of personal and national developments. Most of the holidays we observe here in Ghana are kind of meaningless to me as they are mostly politically inclined and have no real impact on the lives of the citizens. I would like to see your thoughts on this proposal.

I think everyday should be self-reflection day but yes, we may need an entire day without distractions to really think of who we are, what we want and where we are going.
Oh yeah, self reflection is something that should be part of our lives on daily basis. The holiday I believe, will serve as some form of awareness
