It's almost the most annoying time of the year where every couple has made it a thing to rub a little bit of salt and cut onion close to our eyes for absolutely no reason or should I say because we're single!!!!.... Argh! Is it a crime to be single and happy???

Love is a beautiful thing they say, and I couldn't agree more. On the 7th of February which is tomorrow will be my love anniversary and it's also close to Valentine's ( I think I'm mistaken about my anniversary date,but I'll ask my boyfriend and change it later. I'm not sure if it's 7th or 8th) I can't express how happy I am 🤭. So last year January 1st, my friend invited me to his birthday party and I gladly accepted because he's a good friend of mine. While at his party, there was this guy who stared at me the whole time making me feel some type of way. He was very handsome and he smelled really nice.Since I wasn't ready for a relationship, I just didn't pay close attention to him. So he's a close friend of the birthday boy.
Two days later my friend called and asked if he could give my number to his friend and I said sure. About a couple of hours later, I received a DM from him and that was the start of something beautiful 🤭 we went out on a couple of dates and a month later, he asked me to be his girlfriend which I gladly accepted.

I was supposed to talk about my true love story on this blog, but nope, since I'm single and partially happy, I'll be ranting about how I hate/love this time of the year 14th Feb.
You know gratitude goes a long way and I'm super happy I have a roommate that has a boyfriend who spoils her a lot so that means whatever my roommate gets, it's for the both of us yay!! I've already told her what I want and I asked her to tell her boyfriend to add it in the flower or surprise package he wants to give her (I mean, that's the least he can do for taking care of his love for him).
There's a name they call people who aren't in a relationship during val and that's the "Aww committee" I'm proud to say that I'm the chairwoman and I don't think of giving up my position anytime soon, at least for this year.
Now February 16th , I meant 11th is coming soon and there will be red balloons and surprise packages everywhere. Couples will be roaming around disturbing our peace on that day In real life and on Whatsapp too.
On that day, I'll be live on social media to witness all the drama and aww moments of every couple who cares to share their val package and aww moments with us. Why can't they just go about their day without rubbing it on our faces 😩 And you're here wondering why I'm such a hater 😏
I'm not a hater I promise, I just hate the fact that they're robbing it on our faces which makes me a hater 😂

February 14 has become a commercial date and I think we should not wait for a date to give gifts to our partners, it is also often forgotten that it is the day of friendship, it makes no sense that day you get a gift if the rest of the year are of terror, but well that's the world.
I spent many February 14 alone and happy and now I am married and we both see that date as something normal.
