Reflecting On My Dream Job

in Hive Naija5 days ago

I remember when I was small, I often argued with friends and family that I didn’t want to work under anyone and that I wanted to be the boss of my own, but seeing how everything looks presently, being a boss on your own requires a lot of sacrifices a dn dedication, it's not an easy journey, some find it rough at the start while others find it easy. Presently, being a graduate, most of us are trained to start our experiences working under someone either to gain experience for our personal business or for a company.

My dream job when I was small, was to be a pilot or Doctor but growing up a lot changed and I started to develop different interests more than the aircraft and medical line. I graduated as an excersise physiologist, with experience and education background in physiotherapy and sports. I love this course but my interest kind of keeps switching because I am someone who likes exploring experiences and life around to see how things go and most especially I follow the trends in others to earn big and massively.

My dream job is, to be an Ethical Hacker, I kind of find coding Interesting especially when operating on Python or Kali Linux terminal, I am still basic to essential Python but I am more focused on the use of Kali Linux terminal. Coding is simple if we can understand basic commands and try not to get confused within, which is why I put my full focus on it.

I remember my dad wanted me to be into Automobile engineering and I also had little interest in it, but I was too occupied to create time for full focus on learning this. There was a time when so many people advised me to go into this job domain that there was big potential in it, and I was craving for it, but later I got bigger dreams in ethical hacking, this is why I said my focus easily changes with time, to me personally it about growth, whereby we learn to adapt to new things and I always follow the trend, but learning Cyber security does not stop me from learning Automobile engineering, I did not study any of this but I see potentials in them.

Engaging in Penetration testing and Vulnerability scans seems very interesting to me, we get to fish out the bad from the good, and people try to exploit different sites or networks, this is why without cybersecurity the web application or network setup is prone to vulnerabilities.

I also look forward to getting a job as a software tester and owning my firm as a software tester, whereby we get to help companies test their vulnerabilities and network problems.

I am not a person only focused on one domain, I have a business brain, this is one reason why i find it hard to stay in one place and keep on seeking knowledge of different sectors so i can understand how it works in case i want to start my own personal company.
