A lot of people get financially broke immediately after the Christmas celebration and it is always terrible starting the New year struggling financially. Do you fall into that category? If not, share with us your budget-friendly Christmas celebration ideas.
Omor... I cannot be in a category were I have to put all my life savings to make Christmas interesting.... Infact I don't know what is you people's definition of Christmas oOoOO..., it just an ordinary day with a huge difference which is that Christ was born ...., apart from the celebration of new baby Jesus..... I don't see any other thing OOO...
Infact I don't think that I have ever try to impress anyone but doing things above my pocket.... I cut my coat according to my size, e no concern anyone wetin I d chop or do on that day...
All my Life, I spent my Christmas in my parents house, I don't know how family come together feels like, going out that day sef is stress for me... The only thing is that on that day my parents don't go to work, everyone stays at home, my dad will provide everything we need for that day and we will eat and sleep without going to theif to feel among...
It was only last year, that I celebrated Christmas outside my home because I was still in school, I didn't go home for holiday due to unforseen circumstances.... And I share with all of you how I had a budget friendly Christmas outside without breaking Banks or over spending or better still getting a loan to make a massive day.....
That day, my friends didn't travel either so we decided to make our Christmas memorable with the little we could do.... First of all...
Set budgets for Christmas
First of all, check your budgets OOO, what can you do that will not pain your body when removing the money, cut your coat according to your size OOO no go do pass your yourself.... Christmas go finish, you go Starve, spend wisely....
My friends and I gave the total amount of what we were going to use and everyone contributed....
We used 50k for Christmas and there was still change.
We did division of labour
We know how stressful and consuming Christmas celebration can be life, so that one person won't bear the cross alone, we decided to list out what we needed with the budgets and we shared the duties and responsibilities amongst ourselves... To enable the work load lighter and easier.
We did homemade decorations
As a seamstress that I am.... I Sabi wetin and wetin I fit use to decorate the house.... Since I stay off campus and they stay in campus, they decided to use my house for the celebration.... We bought all this affordable Christmas lights to make the room beautiful... Instead of going for something huge.
Went outing
We discovered that if we decide to go for gifts that it will be expensive and the will be wahalaur... Because someone will go for what she can afford, another person will buy an expensive gift and of course looking out for expensive gifts in return....
In other to be on the safe side, we took ourselves out to the mall, we went to see movies at a very low rate and we bought things below our budgets self because change bin still remain....
Finally,
My girls and I hosted girls night and thanksgiving
We played games, we gisted, we had fun, we ate and we didn't forget to thank God for how 2024 has been all the way, we sang, we worshipped and we praised God together... We studied the word and prayed.... Everyone lived happily ever after... Period......
What more can I ask for on a Christmas day... I no fit impress anyone oOoOO... Make I do wetin I fit do... make e no come pain me.
