Let's talk about low-budget gift ideas today! First of all, whenever I think of gifting anyone, the idea is to make the person happy, and so I will think deeply to know what exactly the person may need at that point or something the person likes, yet maintaining my budget.
From what I know, it's not until I empty my savings before making someone happy through my gift, but being thoughtful with the gift can create a nice impression without necessarily spending much on the gift.
There are instances where you may want to gift someone; it could be on his or her birthday, anniversary, graduation, matriculation, reaching a particular milestone in life, wedding, or even during the yuletide season like now. Whatever is the basis for my gifting and the type of person I want to gift will give me guidelines on what kind of gift I should go for.
Remember, we are talking about low-budget gifts that are thoughtful and able to create long-lasting impressions. The number one idea here is gifting someone something personal. Let's say I want to gift my fellow ladies in any event she is celebrating; I may go for a self-care kit. Simple: get a little box like that of a Christmas hamper and then buy nice bathing soap, roll-on, body spray, lipstick, and other small women's matters good enough to take care of our beauty. I doubt if any lady wouldn't appreciate such thoughtful gifts; even if you didn't get exactly the product she uses, personally, I feel it's a nice gift idea, and I will appreciate it if such a gift comes to me.
Secondly, if you are the type that your hands are blessed just like @abenad and maybe @bipolar95 too, just make a beautiful DIY project for the person you want to gift. Imagine taking your time to craft something beautiful for the recipient, the thought of, Oh, she made this just for me? It's already enough to leave a lasting impression on the receiver's heart. I am sure that by now, Abenad is already planning on what she can crochet for Nkem as a gift and bipolar planning on a free gown to sew for me, hehehe.
These are thoughtful gifts and yet affordable. Even if you are not the skilled type, you could tell someone to craft something simple for you to gift that person you want to make happy. It could be a tote bag, even as simple as a key holder or whatever you can think of, but this looks creative and thoughtful.
This art portrait of a person is another gift idea most people cherish, although it might not be too affordable depending on the artist you have got. But think about handing over such beautiful art to the receiver; whenever he or she looks up to his wall room and sees the artwork, you will be remembered immediately. I have never received such a gift, and hopefully, I will, someday.
The last low-budget gift idea I want to share is a bit related to the season we are now. You know, it's common for us to receive more visitors this season than before, and it makes sense to welcome our visitors with small chops even if you can't afford drinks.
Now think of being creative in your kitchen, packaging some bakery stuff like chin chin or cookies, and sending it out as a gift to that your special aunt, uncle, or cousin. I guess this kind of gift will be appreciated and very useful this season and also thoughtful, yet it doesn't call for emptying your wallet so you can make someone happy.
Now, tell me, what other low-budget gift ideas can you suggest?

Getting a gift that will leave a lasting impression on the recipient is what matters. All you mentioned are cost friendly and will definitely make one happy.
Entering the kitchen to make cookies, snacks or small chops is something I look forward to gifting neighbours this Christmas. I want to because it not common like the fired rice, jollof and meat; something unique yet appreaciated.
