In life, everyone has the right to make personal decisions, especially upon reaching the age of 18 and above. At this stage, individuals are expected to take responsibility for the consequences of their decisions and actions. However, it baffles me when people blame others for their own choices.
When you look closely, you often find that the person complaining was either cajoled into taking an action against their will or persuaded into doing something they would not ordinarily have done. Despite this, I still believe that there are certain things some of us would never do, no matter the pressure or circumstances.
Personally, one thing no one can ever make me do is steal. Considering the numerous consequences of stealing, I would never attempt it. Theft can lead to a lifetime of imprisonment, and in unfortunate cases, a thief might end up in the hands of an angry mob, facing jungle justice. Another negative consequence of stealing is that it damages one’s reputation, making it difficult to regain trust among friends and acquaintances. Moreover, stealing brings shame not only to the individual but also to their family and loved ones.
Another thing that no one can pressure me into doing is drinking beyond my limit.
I remember a particular day when I went out with some friends for a sit-out. During the gathering, everyone, including myself, was drinking while discussing various topical issues. The event became even more exciting until I was persuaded to take more drinks.
Brothers and sisters, to cut the long story short, how I managed to get home that day remains a mystery to me to this day. The aftermath of that incident was not funny at all. Even when I got home, I remember throwing up, and throughout the week, I was not myself.
That experience taught me a valuable lesson, and since then, I have made up my mind never to drink beyond my limit, no matter the pressure.
Beyond stealing and excessive drinking, another thing no one can ever persuade me to do is compromise my core values and beliefs. Life is filled with temptations, and people will always try to influence your decisions. However, standing firm in what you believe in defines your character and determines how far you go in life.
Therefore, with all these consequences in mind, I am certain that nothing can ever make me steal, drink above my limit, or compromise my values.

Well, that's good enough. No one wants to be a victim of theft, so it's best not to be a thief, and the issues that come with excessive drinking are too many to mention. Nicely written.✨
Thanks so much
I can relate to getting drunk, it happened to me and that was the first and last time I ever got drunk....
