Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. The festive season is almost over, and so far, so good. We have all been up and doing, trying to make sure that the celebration is a huge success, and with the celebration so far, I can boldly say our effort was fruitful. In this festive season, the traditions that are observed in families differ from one family to another, but in all, it is these traditions that are observed in these families that make the celebration extra fun and memorable. Making memories with family and friends has always been the core of this festive season, and in most cases, the traditions that are observed during this season are how we make these memories.
Every family has a particular tradition they observe every festive season, and if this particular tradition has not been observed, then the festive season is not complete. To many families, these traditions are what declare the festive season started or bring it to a close; these traditions hold a special place in the hearts of every member of the family, and that would compel them to observe it every year.
When it comes to family traditions that are observed during the festive season, my family is not any different, as there are many traditions that are observed, some I cannot really say if they should be seen as a tradition but they are still observed every year, but the first is coming together to always celebrate Christmas as one big family. My family is one that, once it is the festive season, it is expected of everyone to return home and celebrate it at home. Celebrating together has been a tradition that has been going for ages, and I don't see it ending anytime soon, as all of us have adopted the tradition and would like it to go on.
Another tradition that is always observed is the cooking and eating pattern. Because it is a big house and a lot of people are present, a big pot is used to cook, and when it is time to eat, we use a tray pan to eat all together, as sharing of food or eating individually is like a taboo. When we eat together, we even make more memories; it is one tradition I always look forward to because of the way we tease each other and have lots of fun while eating. Eating together is one tradition that has helped us to bond well as siblings and is still doing lots of magic to bring us together and closer with our extended family members.
I am not missing out on the tradition of praying every 31st day of December; I am not saying I am not Christian 😂, but sometimes this particular day is a cause to worry because the prayer is one long one and can go on nonstop for hours, and there is always a fasting attached to this day, so one has to prepare physically and mentally for the day. They say they always do that to usher in the new year and prepare for the new year spiritually.
Family is the life line of every being in the planet one has to treasure them cos the got your back even in ways u might not like
