One Thing To Make The Year A Memorable One.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. The year 2025 just started, and we are wishing, hoping, and praying that the year comes with a lot of breakthroughs for all of us as well as being better than last year in all aspects of life. So many already have their plans and are working towards making it happen, while some are warming up to start doing the same, and there are some who feel it is too early to start making necessary moves, which is very wrong, as there is no time at all; before you know it, we are saying goodbye to the year already. Our hopes for this year are so high; so many want a breakthrough in their business, some want to land a contract, some want to start something for themselves, some want the degree they started pursuing years ago to come to an end already, and some just want to attain financial stability, truth be told me I want all.

We all have different desires and wishes for the year, but we all must be willing to put in the work needed to ensure that those desires become a reality and do not remain desires and dreams. There are individuals who do not want to work but want dreams to become a reality for them, but the truth is when one fails to put in the work, then there is no way they can make things happen. When we put in the efforts, then and only then should we expect results, but I wonder how some people are relaxed and doing nothing but want results.

For me, I have a lot of things that, if achieved, will make this year a memorable one for me, one that I can actually look back at and be really grateful for. The Nigerian educational system has failed us, thereby causing delays in school, and four-year courses turn into 5 or 6 years, and a 5-year course turns into 6 or 7 years. It is really disheartening that when you gain admission, you don't just count the years you are supposed to spend in school as you are expected to count and add that extra time wasted as a result of the failed educational system. I gained admission in 2019 and was supposed to be done with school in February 2024, but thanks to the Nigerian educational system, we are still in school and struggling to round up.

Guess whose school identity card expired last year but is still in school? Yes, me. It has been from one long strike to another; as a result of strikes and the coronavirus lockdown, we had hope of rounding up late last year, only for school to go on a 5-month shutdown after a student protest that became violent, and so it happened that graduation and getting this degree was pushed to this year, and now there are rumors of the Academic Staff Union of Universities embarking on another strike, which might cause more delays if it happens, so I think rounding up college and moving to the next phase of my life is one thing I am really hoping would happen this year, as if it does, it will indeed make the year a memorable one.

Been in college for too long, and it has kind of stood in the way of getting involved in other things, so the whole college thing finally coming to an end will be a delight.

This is funny and it's not funny at the same time🤣.
Imagine that kind of situation.
