Pet peeves for so many people could be something another person considers to be so insignificant; isn't that why we are different as humans in the first place?
We cannot all like the same thing; in the same way, we cannot all be displeased with the same things.

Personally, I am big on hygiene, and I love it when everything around me is sparkling clean. I get irritated easily too, so there is no way I can cope with someone who is dirty.
It is so bad that I can throw up if I see an untidy or messy scene. Learning about how children could be exposed to infection easily, made me more specific about hygiene, I remember always screaming at everyone to wash their hands before touching my Son.
I still do that a little bit, just that they don't listen to me so much anymore. The number of times I wash my hands when cooking makes me question if I am not obsessed with washing of hands, little wonder I have Wicklow on one of my fingers right now (cries), they say it's because I usually put my hands into water too much.

This is just to give you a background story on how I can be about neatness, now you can imagine how angry I would feel about someone who is untidy or dirty.
I meet this guy in church (as the church girl that I am), and the guy was good with church activities so what's there not to love. We started to get all cozy and loved up until I decided to pay our dear brother a visit to his apartment.
What I saw really made me understand the reason why the bible advised us to watch and pray. His kitchen was a complete mess with plates of God knows how long, stacked up and waiting for a miracle to make it clean.
His clothes were all over the place and I was wondering if anyone lived there. According to him, he just waits until weekends before cleaning up his house. it doesn't have to be this bad I said to myself.
I simply relaxed and tried to come up with silly excuses in my head for his behaviors. When it was night and I wanted to shower, he asked if there was a need for that since I already had my bath in the morning and I am like, are you joking?
He didn't have his bath that night and neither did he have his bath the following day, he said he doesn't see a need to have his bath since he has no intention of going out that day.
I already knew my mind was made up about the relationship from that moment because one of my pet peeves is dirtiness. There is nothing that could have changed my mind about the act of dirtiness I saw displayed on that day and I knew immediately that this wasn't good and won't work for me.
