Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.
We all know that the holiday is now over and everything is going well going back to the way it is, everyone is bringing down their decorations and everything. Schools have fully resumed, work has fully commenced and everyone is going on with their daily lifestyle activities.
As for me, since I'm still a student this is my second year and last semester in the polythenic. Being a final-year student, the workload for us this semester is going to be much.We were made to resume late last year which made us miss most weeks and now the lecturers are rushing so sorry they can meet up with the curriculum and finish their work.
And for me as a student, we have been given assignments, practical manuals, and other class activities. Aside from all of that, even before we resumed, we had been spending a lot on the cost of going to our case study for our project since we would be defending our project this semester, I and my team was able to go to only one and we are already planning on going to the second case study which is atIkoyi and that is another transportation.
The first one we went to was at ikeja which is the New Afrika Shrine, and the one we are going to next is the National Museum and we would be printing questionnaires to take along which is another cost.
What was more surprising was that, while I was talking to my coursemates today they told me that one of the lecturers said we are in the eighth week out of thirteen weeks and we have limited time, one funny thing is that we haven't really done much and our courses for this semester was reduced to seven from eleven which is good but at the same time bad because a lecturer came to the class today and he told us that the course he's taking is a four-unit course, and we have not done any four-unit course before. But I believe that we would be able to get past all of it by God’s grace.
So basically, this semester is going to be a tough one with all the things we have packed and the limited time we have. I just hope all lecturers come the time they ought to come so we can have all the materials we need. Another thing I'm scared of is that this semester we are going to be doing two hard courses which are Business Account and Web Page and Design and I have no idea how they will turn out, I just hope the lecturers will be taking us this courses are nice enough and be able to teach us to our understanding, because those courses are somehow tough cause business account has to do with calculation and I'm not good at calculating at all, I just try to do them and I don't like courses that has a calculation that's why I went for the course in studying, while web page and design I think they will be taking us just the basics so I should be able to do that.
Also, since we just resumed and this is our final year, our departmental assistant social director is my course mate and she was telling us that we would be having our student week soon, we were talking about it in class today and she was saying different things about it, from the outfit, we would be putting on every day to the activities that would be done also. She also told us that the fyb week for finalists will be coming up soon too so we all have to save towards it too.
Aside from this since I'm in the tourism department, our lecturer told us we would be going on a trip before the end of the semester and we will also be having a tourism festival as well, and we would be doing a lot of cooking since hospitality is also related to our course. So this semester is booked and all of these things need funds. It is going to be a tough semester but I'm positive that all will go well for me and others too.
