Christmas season is one of the reasons people come together to celebrate, irrespective of race and tribe. What made Christmas fun was the show of love and the act of appreciating everyone that made the year wonderful for them. The event that made Christmas memorable was celebrating with family. Having people around one's life who are Intentional and sacrifice for one's happiness and success is a golden opportunity that not everyone has. I have seen people lament about how important family is, which they didn't have. Some go into marriage just to have a family they can call their own irrespective of what they had to withstand in the marriage.
Getting together with family is a beautiful thing. The family we don't appreciate when we see them is a precious gift anyone can own. Sometimes, we don't value them until we no longer have them with us; people without a family laugh at those who have one but don't appreciate them. I am always happy for the gift of family. This Christmas season would have been different if my grandfather was alive. He was the spice of the season during his lifetime. He always makes sure we all come to celebrate with him and Grandma in our hometown. Though he is no longer with us, we still had to enjoy our Christmas in our homes just the way we would if my grandpa was alive. The only difference was that we didn't get to play with him or listen to his stories and, most especially, his prayers.
I celebrated Christmas with my nuclear family, and it was fun, I must say. The food was delicious; I guess jollof rice and fried rice are the major foods for the season. We weren't left out in the culture of the food. Mom prepared fried rice with turkey which I enjoyed. Not only that, my mom prepared grilled fish with plantain. It's all food for me for Christmas; I ate several other snacks like cake, which I baked a day before Christmas. I celebrated Jesus' birthday with a chocolate cake and a marble cake. Na Jesus dy do birthday, na me dy bake cake (it's Jesus birthday, but I baked cake) anyways, the celebration is the important and a must.
Another fun thing I did for Christmas was extend a hand of help to some less privileged. The situation in the country is not encouraging presently and people are finding it hard to survive daily. Looking around my neighborhood, I saw some in need of assistance which I gladly rendered. Christmas is a season to show love after all. I was indoors with my family, but we had a great time. Chatting with my parents and seeing my siblings laugh and everyone in a happy mood is one of the best things I hold dearly to heart. The most important part of Christmas was the monetary gift from my favorite person. I wasn't expecting the gift, but then it came in as a surprise, and I was happy about it.

First of all... Why did you post foods that will cause hunger in my stomach ehn. Obviously you enjoyed Christmas. Helping the less privileged is one of the things I consider as great impact on humans, even in the littlest way.

Family is everything. Most people long for that festive period just to unit with their loved ones. It's nice to hear that you had a great time with your nuclear family during Christmas.. those meats are tempting o😊
