As humans, we can't but face certain issues at some point in our lives. There are times we need a shoulder to cry on, a source of encouragement that will give us the needed strength to carry on even in the face of challenges. This is why human relationships are very important: keeping a close bond with people who matter, that is, those who care and will go to any length to put a smile on one's face. For someone like me with a small circle of friends, I might not have the opportunity to relate with my friends much when I'm facing issues. I have just a friend and to a reasonable percentage, she knew quite a lot about me and vice-versa.

Irrespective of this, I have come to understand, due to past experience, that in life, no one can love you like your parents or family. I am lucky to come from a family that appreciates relationships; this is the great force that holds each and every one of us together. As the saying that "Parents are children's first god", I believe nothing should be done outside one's parent's knowledge. However, in this generation, we youngsters tend to be a bit secretive when it comes to our personal lives. But in my tribe, an adage says, "No matter how bad a person is, there will be someone somewhere that he or she talks and listens to", which is the truth.
At times, I don't tell my parents when I'm going through a tough time; I choose to handle it myself as I see it as part of the ways to learn and fight for success, which I desire. While growing up, my parents made virtually all the decisions for me, which I had no choice but to agree with, but as I grew, I wanted to experience what it means to be a decision-maker. Then I began my journey to facing all my troubles alone. Luckily, my parents didn't interfere in my Adulthood life; they always left me to make my decisions and stand up to the consequences of the wrong ones I made. But no matter how old a child's is, his or her parents will always remain his or her superiors. Even while being independent and making my decisions myself, I do get weak at some point, and all I need at that time is someone to cheer me up, put a smile on my face, and render quality and useful advice to me.
No one is an island of knowledge; I can't definitely know it all. Sometimes, I need help from those who are more experienced and knowledgeable, and that's what made me open up to my father. If I'm going through a problematic phase and I need someone to talk to, my father is my first go-to for a solution. You might be wondering why my father and not my mother. Well, just the way children are born with different personalities, so also are parents. My dad and mom have distinct personalities that differentiate them from each other. My father is easily approachable; he takes time out to listen, ask questions, ask for one's opinions and suggestions, encourage, and then propose a solution my mom is also easy to talk to, but her approach sometimes just doesn't go well with me which makes me prefer my dad. I don't tell people personal things even when I'm facing troubles because I believe is what people know about you that they can use against you. So to be at peace, my dad is my first go-to gist partner.
Thanks for your time and your comments will be appreciated.

I totally enjoyed reading your post.
It's beautiful how you've shared your personal experiences and highlighted the importance of human relationships, especially with family. Your dad sounds like an amazing person, and it's great that you have him as someone you can go to for advice and support. Your perspective on being cautious about sharing personal things with others is also understandable. Thanks for sharing.
Nice write up. I like your post, so educative. You have to keep some things to yourself. Your dad's advice is good and he sounds so responsible. Thanks
