I Will Never Forget

Hello everyone, it's Hive Naija weekly prompt edition 57.

I will be sharing five things I will never forget in my life, and maybe I'll tell my children about them.

I'll never forget when I went to church with my mom and I was to follow her back home, but something happened. After the church service, I went to greet my uncle. I think I was just six.

"Hello Uncle," I said with a smile on my face, and she replied.

"Yes wakky"

I told him that I wanted to go back with him to the house, and he agreed that I join him. Immediately, he took me to their house, and I was served a delicious meal.

After sometimes, I heard my mom's footsteps at their varender; immediately, I just knew something bigger would happen to me.

My mom entered the house and behave as nothing was going on, she greeted everyone and sat down. Since that was my Uncle's house, everyone left the sitting room and it was just my mom in the sitting and me in the dining eating.

After some minutes, my mom just walked up to me in the dining room and gave me a knock I will never forget. I mean, I left my uncle's house with Eba in my left and my cover shoes in my right hand. I didn't even care to tell other people in the house that I was leaving and no one knew what was happening between mom and me.

I'll never forget when I got into a fight in school. I was always known for fighting in school. Like everyone knew me as a fighter in my primary school. So on this faithful day, I got into a fight with this girl and beat her until she ran out of the classroom. I did not know I was fighting with an army's child. When I saw her leaving the school, I thought that I had won the fight until some men came in a car with arm uniforms. Then I saw this girl coming down from the car too. I heard the father saying where is she, and gladly for me, I was at the back of the school, and we had another route there, so I just used that route back home, and nobody knew that I had left already. I didn't go to school for three weeks because of this.

I'll never forget when my mom got me stealing meat from the pot. I just heard a knock on my head, and I knew that all had finished for me. Mom was like, "Why do you want to kill me?" I mean, my face went sour, and I could not even eat the meat well.

I'll never forget when my dad got me with a man very close to the house. I was thirteen that year, and my dad also told me to face my studies. Hmmm, I told my dad I wanted to go to a classmate's house to get notes, not knowing he wanted to also go out using the same route I wanted to use. He left before me, and I followed after he left for thirty minutes. And this guy was standing very close to where my dad was, and he did not know my dad in person. I went to see Tee, and as we were talking, dad just came out from an office behind and called my name.

"Wakky"

If I didn't faint that day, it means I won't faint anymore. I mean, draw my chicks in front of everyone and send me to the house, telling me how he would deal with me when he is back. That feeling you have when your dad says, "Let me come back."

I'll never forget when I beat a junior student in school, and unfortunately for me, she was wounded. The school management told me that I would be expelled. I went back home to tell my parents, and they told me that if I am expelled from the school, I would stay for that year in the house and then complete that session the next year. I think that was the last time I got into trouble because I was so sad and down I promised myself that I would never get into trouble again.

The school did not expel me at last.

I can picture the first scenario with your mum. Our parents, mothers especially aee like that. How could you even habe left your mum in church without notice and left to go and eat food, how?😂
