Hello everyone, I hope you are doing very well today and that your day is going well too.
This year has been filled with ups and downs; sometimes I win and sometimes I lose, but in all, there were stepping stones to my growth for my greatness. Sometimes we don't need to judge a year based on what we see at the beginning of it because we may not know how it will turn out to be.
My best month for this year is this month, I mean the month of November. I became a full graduate as I did my convocation last week. It is very important to talk about this because it was not really easy to scale through the four walls of the university environment. There were times I did not want to go on again, and at those times I would seek advice from people who had gone before me. I am very happy because I'm not just done with school, but I have made myself proud, my family proud, and I have also made my friends and well-wishers happy too.
It sounds like a cliche whenever someone says that it was easy, being that so many people say that a lot, but it is only the person that is saying this who knows and understands why he or she is saying that it was easy. There were times people told me to withdraw from school because of my health, but I still stood my ground; I did not allow anything or anyone to make me feel bad; I still forge ahead and still did my thing.
Fast forward to the convocation day. I was very happy, and everyone was happy for me too. I was treated like a princess. In the early hours of the day, my siblings woke me with a gift. They helped me cook, and they also made my hair for me.
Later that morning, I went to make my face up; my face was so beautiful when I finished. At first, I didn't want to, but my elder sister told me that her friend made it very mild and fine, so I agreed, and it came out very well.
I left for the occasion in school by 11:45am thinking that I would not go to meet anyone, but to my greatest surprise, the occasion was still on. I met new friends at the venue since everybody was congratulating themselves, so there were a lot of people to meet. I remember that I met a guy who told me that he knew right from when I was small, that he was happy that I convoked, so he gave me money to appreciate me; I did not know him. I was so surprised because he called my name and also said that he knows my dad.
I got back home to meet people and their gifts for me. I was so overwhelmed by their gifts and well wishes. I only got mixed feelings when I remembered that mum was not there with me. I got so sad at a point because I knew that I wanted her to be with me.
